I’m almost certain my golden retriever even had an account and got that mass of initial free CD’s for a penny each.
Pretty sure they were sending cassettes when I was a member. I remember being so proud of myself when I figured out how to opt out of their monthly "offer", which was usually some crappy album.

I have not done business with them. I don't necessarily share that opinion on them, but thought it was a pretty good quote. I'd definitely have it on a plaque and mounted in my office if I worked for Goldman Sachs though.
I've got a GM Marcus card and just opened a CD. They have the best CD rates available right now. I think mine was 4.5% for 15 months. It was the best I could find and that was only a month ago and rates were decreasing.
