STRONG MAKES $5,000,000 PER YEAR. Yea he's going to come here. We will pay him around $2 million a year but we'll throw in EZPass, unlimited Fat sandwiches, a beach pass to Belmar for the summer, Somerset Patriots season tickets, NJ Devils season tickets, and free Uber rides to make up for the other $3 million paycheck. Shmucks

Bo Pellini was making a lot more at Nebraska than he is at Youngstown State.

Not saying that there is even slight chance that Strong will end up at RU, but if he gets fired and Texas is on the hook to pay him $5M less what anyone else is paying him, what he made at Texas and what he makes at his new school does not really matter.

I don't see UT firing Strong for at least another year. The Oklahoma victory bought him a one year reprieve.

Echo to the point about Strong inheriting nothing from Mack Brown. He has to rebuild one class at a time. They'll be very good next year - and even better when his first class reaches Senior/RS JR level.

Absurd statement. Brown left Strong with the 16th ranked class in the country, and the 4 before that all ranked higher. The willingness to make excuses for Strong here is curious. His recruiting has been horrid. As have the results. At Texas. That ain't easy.

I have no problem with Strong. I think he's a solid coach, despite the struggles. When he was at Louisville I think people talked him up a bit too much and he got paid too soon. Now at Texas it's reverse and I think some are looking down on him too much. He needs to be paired with a good OC. He's done a bad job in that department.
