Didn't a lot of that holding pd to 21 have to do with the offense chewing up clock....saw a post where someone said catholic had ball entire 3rd quarter....if pd never got the ball very often I imagine it made it easier on the defense.
Time of possession had a lot to do with it. Think the article in the Observer said PD had the ball less than a minute of the 3rd Quarter. Don't remember PD ever being forced to punt, but they had 2 or 3 turnovers (forget which) and we stopped them on a fourth and goal on the first drive.

Catholic couldn’t stop the passing game, and PD couldn’t stop the run. PD had the ball 🏈 last. Ball Game!
Spot on. PD has a lot of speed and D1 talent on Defense and are hard to throw against, But after the yards they gave up to Weddington and Catholic I don't think all that D1 talent likes to be run against.
