Hahaha. Hey, the guy seems old school, I love it. But in THIS current world/climate? Ummm yeah, this guy won't last. He'll say or do something deemed too offensive or inappropriate. U can't be Bob Knight Bob Huggins-esque in the current world. Too many candy-a$$es, haha.
This guy puts his money where his mouth is. Coached at Gilman and built the program at St Frances Academy in Baltimore. He paid the salaries of staff, both athletic and academic, and tuition for those that couldn't afford it.
He donates back half his salary for assistants at Charlotte. He will get it done.

It's paywall but the Athletic had a story on him before he got hired at Charlotte. It was about how he helped Harbaugh at Michigan. IIRC Saban recommended him too. Definitely an off the beaten path hire but it's Charlotte so I suppose it doesn't hurt to take a shot and see. Kind of like Joe Moglia at Coastal Carolina a while back.
There was a documentary on Netflix about him.

With Mike Leach gone, it will be fun to follow another guy who tells it like it is. He definitely has a Jersey attitude. I will definitely tune into his press conferences.
