Charlotte Observer 2A/2AA Playoff Projections

Last year rankings were not far off of projections. Conf. champs get 1 round bye?
I don't think I would break my rythem with byes,but some teams my need them.

Byes only in 1-A and 4-A ... not 100% sure because there are a lot of changes this year.

I worry about ND. Their competition has been sooo terrible. I could see a 2nd round team being a nightmare for them

I may be giving them too much credit, but what they did to Ashville and what they've done to East Forsyth and Scotland in recent past was impressive.

The Tabor loss not so impressive, but that may have just been a bad night.

I think ND has only played East Forsyth once in the last 10 years,and that was the big playoff loss last year.

I think the Davie win is a better win than Asheville this year. It looks like Asheville has gotten some wins since then, but against questionable competition.

I want to believe, but I'm in wait and see mode.

Mount Tabor is a solid team

Unless the Anson County school has moved it is west of both North and Ledford. even though the edge of Anson County does go further East.

Not according to google maps....just double checked it....(that was pretty funny though, especially had it been right....i mean we have to wait for this year's ADM numbers to get released to know who's big or small, but the longitudes will not change)

Yes, first round byes only for the 1-4 seeds in all 1A & 4A brackets....then 1 will play winner of 8-9, 2 will play winner of 7-10, etc....like a college basketball conference tournament with 12 teams in the league where the 1-4 seeds get Thursday off when everybody else has to play

You're right. Ledford high is really close East/West wise with Anson, North Davidson isn't.

(Thanks to SimmonsRatings for listing all of the longitudes on his site....I made a map one time for the whole state in 2A that's a go-to for projecting the playoffs in any sport)
