Thoughts? Is swain in the big 3 still? Anyone know anything about them this season?

They brought back like literally 3 starters and the JV team that moved up wasnt good, I dont think they will be very good talent wise, but it's Swain so they could surprise.

Then again after last night Murphy doesn't look that good, right now I see it Robbinsville 1st then who knows after that.

Murphy will go as #12 does. If he plays well like the Roberson scrimmage they will figure the other stuff out and battle Robbinsville at the top. If he plays poorly like last night they have no shot against Robbinsville and the other games will be tougher than they should be.

You've not watched a lot of Murphy ball with that statement. 2011 we lost three straight right out of the gate, looked terrible then won state that year. 2016 team had a close game against Andrews barely pulled it out and won state...probably with the best quarterback in the state that year. I mean I can continue....we will see how the season ends.

I just didn't see the skill players last night Murphy normally has..not even close..But as you said Murphy will keep improving and should never be counted out.
Dogman makes a great point but so do you, the skill talent on the 2011 and 2016 teams he mentioned is just way way ahead of what Murphy has to work with right now. Your talking about total studs at QB on both of those teams and some really high level skill players around them.

As for this team I think #3 at WR is a typical Murphy level skill if QB can get the ball to him and #25 might be at wing, he's awfully light though so who knows if he could hold up with a full load at wing, especially blocking. #24 and #20 are solid backs but they are similar players with similar running styles, they don't really compliment each other. If you paired either one of them with a typical Murphy level tailback you would be in business but Murphy doesn't have that luxury this season. I know he's light but I would like to see #4 get some touches at tailback, he offers a different skillset than those two. But I understand with Abling quitting and Smith hurt they need #4 more at WR. More than anything though #12 has to step up at QB, if he does it will make life much easier for the skill players around him. #12 showed me something in that Roberson scrimmage, now he has to do it in a real game.
