So you're telling me there's people out there that REALLY thought WCW would allow WWF wrestlers to be on their show, use their airtime, and wrestle in their ring? Not believing in it in a Santa Claus sense, but ACTUALLY believed that's what was happening?
Krazy - your list excluded the Midnight Express (they were still a unit then, weren't they?).
Also had Dr. Death & Gordy around that time (Miracle Violence Connection?) and on and off Freebirds.
NWA/WCW had the best tag division - they had 2 tag titles and there was plenty of competition for them.
Lmao "this is boring"
I don't know if I've ever seen a worse ending. That crowd wasn't having that match and it was like everyone including the announcers just quit at the end.
Sigh...
Fans have no responsibility to WWE. WWE has a responsibility to present a product that fans want to watch. When fans don't react - or react negatively - WWE should evaluate and tweak what it is presenting.
I don't give an ish that Reigns works hard and is a nice guy. You know who else works hard and is probably a nice guy? Zach Ryder. He got over without a push once. WWE reacted by giving him a half-*** push and then buried him immediately. Zach Ryder is probably more proficient in the ring than Reigns. He's not as big, not as cut, and not as pretty - so he doesn't have as much upside.
My point is that their personalities don't determine what they earn in the ring. That's determined by their ability to connect with the fans and make pushes/angles work. Sometimes they take nothing and turn it into something; other times they squander opportunity. Reigns had no chance with his push. WWE does need to turn him heel. Fans will come around naturally and in a year or two he'll be ready to be the man. They need to let Ambrose be a heel as well - he might be good as an Austin type heel that just defies authority in the long-run, but for now he needs to be a heel.
Were you ok interviewing Eva Marie....:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: When are you interviewing Sting???
If you have some time, for anyone like me who grew up watching Memphis wrestling, Jericho's latest podcast is with Jerry Lawler. I am about 30 minutes in so far, they talk a lot about
Memphis and the Andy Kaufman feud.
Sting interview is tomorrow morning so let's all work on constructing this one to fill a 10-15 minute spot.
