AEW fans hated Mone's theme, her dance, and her promos. Do they hate women? Are they racist? Or was it because her theme was terrible, her stripper dance was awkward, and her promos were weak? Some didn't like when Vaquer was handed two titles in NXT and they quickly dropped it. Now imagine her with 12 rando titles none of us knew existed. What's the point and where does the story go? Who wants a year of the same thing happening? What's the arc? We watched Cena win 98% of his matches too and guess what? It got boring. What you're seeing is some getting bored with this. At least the Bloodline was entertaining with Sami involved and that had an actual arc. Mercedes and AEW ain't saving the indies here but this is now the new talking point.

Not sure there's an inbetween with this gimmick. You either think it's super fun or kinda stupid seeing someone draped in titles from around the world. I won't downplay AEW's female roster but two women have had a stranglehold on the entire division since one of them debuted and those two women seem to be the only ones TK really cares about.

Dave apparently got the numbers and WrestlePalooza only added 100-125K subscribers to the ESPN app, so less viewers than an average AEW PPV.

TNA running recap shows for three weeks after Bound for Glory is quite an indictment of their ability to draw and the value of Impact as a TV product, but how few people have even noticed they aren't bothering to run shows is an even bigger indictment of how few fans they have.

Howdy, still been reading just took a break from posting. Did not catch WrestleDream, this was probably already posted but the Missouri Athletic Commission reportedly cracked down on blood, fighting outside and other things. The "outrage" over Darby/Mox and the fish tank was a whole lot over nothing.
Guessing Mone loses again to Statlander which starts the spiral of her losing all the titles. The whole idea of her collecting those other titles because she can't win the AEW title.

Looks like we are getting another Broken Hardy's match vs. Dark State at the NXT show this weekend.

AEW is running another one of the theater shows in San Antonio tonight.

I know this might sound odd but I literally only think about it a few minutes a day - I don’t binge scroll and post. You sound more like a UL fan with an inferiority complex.

Apologies for binge posting but for anyone who might be interested the WCW Vault youtube page has put up the entire 1986 and 1987 Crockett Cup shows along with the 1988 in highlight form.
In addition they've got a two hour compilation of Midnight Express vs. Rock and Roll Express matches.

Midnight Express was always my favorite team growing up.

Seems like the survival of this ESPN streaming service is going to rely pretty heavily on getting sweetheart deals from cable providers to offer it free to their subscribers along with taking advantage of bundle deals with other apps.

If they can't get more subscribers than that during football season, that growth rate isn't going to better unless there is a significant increase in sports fans wanting to cut the cord.

I wonder how many of these people that signed up to watch Wrestlepalooza were cord cutters/cord nevers versus people signing up because their cable service hadn't gotten on board with offering it for free? If it's the latter, nearly all of those people are going to cancel it when their cable provider gets on board.

I wouldn't think there will be many casuals willing to regularly drop $30 a month for WWE PLEs. They might sign up for the big ones if they can't get it for free. But for the B shows like Wrestlepalooza? Doubtful.

If the revenue doesn't improve substantially, they'll likely resort to airing even more ads during the PLEs.

I wonder if people who would sign up for the premium service, will do so after football season is over. That's the normal time I watch more WWE than any other time of the year. So maybe in early spring, they might see a boost in numbers.

Money in the Bank 2026 was originally scheduled the same weekend as All In. Now it has moved back a week. Wonder if that was an ESPN decision?

I don't get what was the point of WrestleDream if seemingly most of the stories are going to carry over from it, several of which really had no need to continue. Particularly the Demand vs. the Hurt Syndicate and Mark Briscoe vs. Kyle Fletcher.

Also, I love the Hurt Syndicate. One of my most favorite parts of AEW right now. But it is time for them to get a new young member, and get MVP back to managing 100% of the time. I have no desire to se4e him wrestle at this point in his career.

SRS says there are plans for it. He claims to have the name of who it will be but can't reveal it.

I wanted Kevin Knight to join the HS before he even signed with AEW, but he’s got a good thing going with Speedball right now in a rejuvenated tag division.

In other news Goldberg with an interesting take. (Not)

The numbers Meltzer gave came from a different outlet not associated with wrestling.

Goldberg is a douchebag

This would indicate Amazon doesn't want the channels, just the IP/IP broadcasting rights. Which is similar to apparently to what Netflix wants to do with their purchase pursuits.
