There's no oversight right now so billionaire businessmen are making huge moves in an effort to control as much media content as humanly possible. Wrestling fans whine about monopolies but that's happening outside of our little bubble. These billionaire companies all seem to be in debt yet they're still buying each other up while passing the cost to us.
Hopefully it's Amazon I guess. Push everything AEW to Prime. TNF looks incredible on there and has been successful. If it's Paramount, who knows what happens. Doubt they'd give a rat's *** about a smaller pro wrestling company. Regardless, I'm not sure AEW gets a sweetheart deal the next go-around.

Need to get RevPro under the partnership banner with everyone else to get the British flag under the umbrella. They have been partnered with NJPW officially for many years now. They do informal talent exchanges with AEW/ROH, CMLL, and Stardom. Definitely know they aren't officially partnered with AEW or Stardom, pretty sure they aren't with CMLL but could be wrong.
RevPro is one of the few Indies from the UK/GB/British Isles/whatever other ******* names there are for that area that didn't sell out to WWE, and with WWE still wanting to do NXT Europe, think it would be a good idea to bring them under the banner before WWE tries to screw them.

Yep it's pretty much open season for making monopolies. They all know that as long as they have the "correct" politics and have the money to pay off this current administration, then chances are pretty good they'll green light the merger or acquisition.
Not even taking wrestling into account, and to make it short, consolidating all these entertainment properties into fewer and fewer companies just means the enshitification of the entertainment industry will rapidly accelerate.
Sounds like D-Von couldn't get it through his head that TK didn't want him to be a producer. If you want a job, you got to do what the man writing the paychecks wants you to do!
And if he wasn't interested in wrestling anymore, why did he wrestle in four matches since 2023, most recently this month in a TNA ring?

NXT UK was never a serious operation designed to replicate NXT here in America. The financial investment into it for recruiting, development, filming, salaries (people were getting paid poverty wages), facilities, etc. was always a fraction of what NXT proper had.
It was basically set up to screw over World of Sport - a defunct major British wrestling promotion that was returning to the UK airwaves and was perceived as a threat to the WWE’s monopoly in the UK.
NXT UK wasn’t announced until the World of Sport news came out. And what happened not long after World of Sport crashed and burned? NXT UK ceased to exist.
Didn’t make sense to operate a money pit in NXT UK anymore with World of Sport dead again when they could just have the talent move to America and work the real NXT
Well NXT said a record low viewership/rating for the CW era against NBA opening night. New ratings model plus regular NBA competition on Tuesdays and Wednesdays is probably going to be resulting in some awfully low numbers (relative to before at least) for a few months for TV wrestling.

I just don't want to see him on an AEW show ever again. I'll make an exception for a goodbye match if he's willing to take the L. He's at least earned a goodbye match. I may not like anything he has done for a while but as important as he was to AEW early on, he's earned it.

Last Friday's CMLL all-women's show main evented by Mercedes Mone was the highest attended all-women's show in the world for the last 7 years. And October is typically a down month for CMLL due to having many all-women's shows throughout the month.

Yeah, the NXT number is a yikes. Dynamite did 477k. When NXT goes low, AEW usually goes even lower, not including Max of course. Sports are back and you know what that means.
Haven't mentioned it but the Andrade situation is bizarre. For sure, WWE is petty but how did AEW legal give the all-clear and push him into a major storyline if there was contractual red tape? Imagine this happening when Luger showed up on Nitro. I legit like Andrade but in WWE he'd need a repackage. He looks like a CAW and walks out like a CAW and yet, when he's given a 10 min. match, he gets "This is awesome" chants.
These wrassle accounts need to give up on the AI story. It was pushed as one thing to get clicks and a reaction.

Yeah $25K is definitely that “sorry, not interested, but I’m trying to be polite here” type rejection. I’m not going to say it’s a 0% chance these indies are paying her that much but got to be close to it. I doubt for a non-Mercedes show they are even spending $25K on booking fees for all the wrestlers combined.
Another reason to hate studio consolidation.
