Ya but like I said it’s subjective. It could be who had the most memorable year? Who had the most 5 star matches? The most interesting story arc?
Heck you could make a case for Dominik mysterio
That’s actually a pretty good point. That guy had a heck of a year. I don’t care much for his matches, generally speaking, but he’s made himself a star.

I could see someone making an argument for him as wrestler of the year but not in-ring wrestler of the year

Good lord, Smackdown barely drew 4K last night in the final count post from Patreon, that's a decrease of nearly 50% from 11 months ago

WWE Friday Night Smackdown
Fri Oct 31 at 4:30pm
Delta Center, Salt Lake City, UT

Tickets Distributed: 4,226

🏁 Final Count
📊 YTD Show Avg: 10,575
⏮ 11/22/2024: Smackdown 8,394
🗒️ The entire upper tier was curtained off, which explains the drop from yesterday’s update. Fans with tickets in those sections were relocated to the lower bowl. A few sections on the hard cam side were also partially tarped.

Rusev goes off on AEW for wasting him and his career by making him sit on the sidelines

“We can't do this job forever, so we must take advantage of it while we're young. I sat on the sidelines for so long, unable to do what I love, which is performing for people in professional wrestling.

With AEW you go out in the wild, in the dark, in the abyss, and have to figure everything out for yourself. You don't have the producers or the creative team over there.

I dug deep inside myself to find out who I am and what I wanted to stand for. From there, we started developing 'The Redeemer' character."

Man’s just lying to cover up for the fact he refused to do a job and frequently refused creative.

I mean Jade botches just as much - hopefully she’s a transition champ until Bianca beats her.
Sure, 302 days for someone that botches (and promos) like her is quite excessive with the roster WWE has. But Triple H loves excessively long title reigns like an Uso loves a superkick.

They confirmed Blood and Guts as two rings so don’t know how those ticket sales are working with it showing only one ring on Ticketmaster or wherever WrestleTix is getting their maps from.

I don’t know what WWE is paying Drew, but he deserves a LOT of money for carrying every feud he’s had for multiple years w/out winning any of them. Guy better be making bank for losing as much as he does.
Ya they had to have paid him major - he’s like 2-18 in title matches in his last few years.

Man re-signed just to take Seth’s spot as the star heel jobber for the stars.

I know most of the wrestlers don’t really care as long as they are creatively fulfilled, but let the man get a real title run for once for god sake.

A lot better? Yeah, that's false. Vince played favorites, pushed the old guard until their wheels were falling off, loved Saudi money, would rewrite shows hours before they went to air, would stop storylines on a dime, and a lot of what he came up with the last several years was bad and didn't make sense. He also had Dunn by his side and both refused to embrace new ways to shoot and light the show. Oh, and Vince supported and approved the sell to TKO. He was always going to sell to the highest bidder. He also destroyed NXT (Michaels brought it back up) and sent wrestlers fans loved running scared to a new promotion in Jax.

Triple H has flaws for sure but I never want to go back to what Vince was doing around and after covid. Not to mention many in the locker room have said since things were awkward and they walked on eggshells because they'd be told a plan and at 6:00pm on a Monday night, like I said, the script would be ripped up. You can't produce good tv like that and it wasn't good.

Vince always knew who his next in line was so I'll give him that. It was always a challenge getting there though. Smiling as.s Rocky, Triple H's Hogan-like reign of sledgehammer terror, Super Cena, and cornball babyface Reigns. The Bloodline began with Vince but adding Sami made it better and I think that was a Hunter call. Vince made the call for Cody to lose at 39 which turned out to be correct but the sell to TKO and Rock essentially taking Vince's spot on the board allowed The Final Boss aspect which took the story from a 9 to a 10.

Since Drew is spinning his wheels on SD they should move him to RAW and have him feud with Punk for the belt especially now that Seth is out. Unless they are priming Bron Brekker to challenge him next.

This CM Punk spear is laughably bad, and he did it right after no selling bit hit with his own finisher, which Jey of course also performed like ****

Not going to lie, very little I can agree with on this list. Even if you just compare the WWE to WWE people and AEW to AEW people, I don't know how they come to the conclusions with where they rank people.

But how is Megan Bayne not even on this list when they put Jack Perry, Daniel Garcia, Wheeler Yuta, and HOOK?
