Dixie Carter out as TNA president. Billy Corgan to take over day to day operations and named new president. Dixie moved to Chairman. Big picture, don't think this changes anything, but God bless them for looking like they are trying.

Finn Balor with a picture of the bullet club together in Australia. I really hope they do a double turn at Summerslam and do it right. Few things are better in wrestling that seeing a rare double turn done well.

Going back to the nicest and worst wrestlers I would say my top 3 are William Regal, Charles Robinson and Tommy Dreamer.
I am a little biased but I would throw Joel Gertner in there too.

Even back in the Indy's Punk was hit or miss. I caught him on a good night, talked to him for a while and got a picture. Unfortunately it may be the worst picture I have ever made so I have never posted it.

Road Dogg was one who surprised me too but in a good way. We gave him all sorts of #$# the whole time he wrestled. Afterwards he came to find us and we were like oh crap but he asked us why we hated him so much, talked to him for a while and I have been a fan ever since.

Only three bad experiences I have had were Raven and New Jack. Not that either of those would surprise you. And The Sandman too, not sure if he was drunk or didn't care, either way not good.

I've heard two different stories about the Rock. My friend went to an event at Rupp in the late 90's and met him after the show while waiting for his grandma to get off work. He said he was super nice, shook his hand and gave him an autograph. The other story I've heard is from a girl I work with. She said she was at an event in Louisville and tried to get an autograph and he completely blew her off and she has hated him ever since.

I tend to side with The Rock being one of the nicest. Not stopping to give every person an autograph isn't being a jerk especially if it's an adult asking for it.

I'm curious about someone like Rollins. I can't get a read on that guy. I haven't heard any specific stories but he seems to be kind of arrogant in interviews.

Stevie Ray is the most underrated terrible wrestler of all time. Like, people who paid attention know that, but an average fan probably doesn't remember just how truly abysmal he was.
I loved Straight Shootin' Stevie Ray on commentary. Can't help it. "Look at this yak over here!"

Here's a testament to Stevie's greatness at being awful.

Booker T is widely regarded as one of the best, specifically one of the best tag team wrestlers ever. 10x tag team champ with Harlem Heat, multi-time tag team champ in WWE with multiple partners. I think most of us here really like Booker T a lot.

But can you name a good Harlem Heat match?

Another GIF:

To a man I think this is the greatest DDT ever done in a wrestling match.

Nope. And when I think if Harlem Heat, their one shining moment to me is when Booker called Hogan the n word on air.

Arn's DDT and spinebuster were the meanest in the business. If Taker had lost clean to Flair after that spinebuster from Arn, I'm ok with that.

Which WCW guy legitimately tried to pin a guy to win a title even though he was booked to lose? I remember him getting fired.

Paul Roma's favorite member of the Four Horsemen, aka Paul Roma, shot hard on Alex Wright in his last match with WCW. He stiffed him pretty hard, no-sold all of Wright's offense, generally made Wright look like a piece of crap and then kicked out of the finish at 2 despite the ref counting 3. But it wasn't for a title.

I don't know who else it could be. Most shoot stuff in wrestling matches is pretty well known. Could have been Bruiser Brody. He had a knack for stuff like that.

How bad (stupid) was WCW to take the masks off of all the luchadores? Forget tradition, forget the possibility of selling replica masks, let's embarrass these fellas.

The best WCW wrong finish was Dean Malenko taking a powder about 1 minute into a "catch-as-catch-can" match with Billy Kidman. The entire purpose of the match was the have an old-school mat-based match wherein LEAVING THE RING WOULD RESULT IN A DISQUALIFICATION. That's right, 1 minute into a match where one of the only rules was you couldn't leave the ring, Dean Malenko voluntarily left the ring.

I don't know who was booked to win the match, but Kidman was having none of it and so he was declared the winner.

Also, Konnan being the Hulk Hogan of Mexico is the most baffling thing in history. Like, of all the wrestlers they could have got behind and Max Moon 1.0 is their Hulkerito. SMDH

It's Mexico and he screamed Mexican heritage so he could have grown up el chapo style gained fame before ever becoming a wrestler.

Who knows down there.

I actually liked Konan because he was a solid mid tier on video games.

So last night's show wasn't as bad as last week's, not sure about the main event. Glad they didn't have Balor talk, he had the same problem in NXT if you can pre-tape all of Balor's interviews it is much better.

Also why did they give away Balor's entrance on Raw and not save it for the PPV.

Never thought I would say this but I am really enjoying the Heath Slater Free Agent Gimmick.

I think it's because they feared a lot of casuals not knowing anything about Balor and his "Demon" persona so they did something TK generate interest.

Can someone listen to that Cody Rhodes podcast so I can talk about it?

I think it's pretty funny Paul Heyman laughed about the prospect of managing Heath Slater yet he did manage Curtis Axel.

Was there any reason as to why that push was killed? They made him the next Paul Heyman guy, and for a bit, it looked like he was gonna get his break, and it just died overnight it seemed.

Cody was promised MITB twice (I only remember the 2011 one that went to Bryan instead) and was told that there were no plans for him after the brand separation.

He sounded pretty bitter that the NXT guys were referred to as "Dusty's kids" while his real son was booked as "An effing space clown."

His independent dates will do wonders for his career especially working Evolve and ROH. Have you all seen his list of opponents he wants to face? Going to be good.

Sounds like he got upset at people wanting to use Dusty's death as a storyline as well.

A lot of good stuff and insight in that interview.
