WWE should make smackdown the AAA to NXT's AA when it comes to the women's division. No reason whatsoever should Nattie (and her awful gimmick) be losing to Carmella (although smoking hot). Furthermore, Rebecca is in my opinion the best woman in the game today. They've taken her and driven her into the ground. Along with Sasha, she's the best in the business. She was white hot and clearly is a crowd favorite, yet they continue to push these awful gimmicks. Eva Marie and that little gremlin looking Alexa Bliss that Rebecca did the favors for last night, have no business on the main roster. Natalya and Becky should both be on Raw while the inexperienced women (Nia Jax) stay on smackdown.

I don't think this counts as too much of a spoiler since it was posted last night, but Kota Ibushi vs. Cedric Alexander was as good as advertised, and it was advertised as one of the best matches of the year.

Bearing in mind that I haven't watched anything from Japan this year, I have this match as #2 in my match of the year rankings, with #1 being Trevor Lee vs. Andrew Everett from CWF Mid Atlantic back in March or April.

Kota vs. Cedric was one of the most Japanese-style matches I've ever seen in a WWE ring with the huge flurries by the underdog Alexander trying to put Ibushi away. And then the post match...

No idea how much of this is work/shoot. Kota leaves and Cedric gets a standing ovation as he leaves. He's crying and walking to the back while the crowd is chanting "PLEASE SIGN CEDRIC", and then Triple H walks out from gorilla, meets Cedric in the aisle, shakes his hand and gives the crowd a thumbs up, as if to say "yeah, we're signing him."

Somebody with the Network please watch this match so we can talk about it further.

Going to watch it tonight....

So I heard someone is going to interview both Edge and Dean Ambrose

One question for Edge would be 'Is there going to be another season of the Edge and Christian show??" I heard some at WWE were not too happy with some of their humor and references at the end of the first season and may not bring it back.

For Ambrose I would maybe follow up on the podcast and the questions about Lesnar.
Also would like to hear about his days in CZW and doing "Death Match" wrestling.

I got home late last night so I haven't had a chance to watch the CWC. I'd love it if they signed Cedric, though. I also think the Bollywood boys would be a good tag team pickup for NXT as well.

Speaking of NXT. I feel like that brand is the loser out of the whole brand split. While it was time for Finn, Enzo and Cass to move up, I wanted to see guys like Baron and Apollo get time with the belt. I've always hated TNA so I am not as familiar with Bobby Roode and Austin Aries but I feel like the brand split poached too much of NXT's talent. If they did sign Roderick Strong, maybe he can work babyface? I honestly don't know.

NOt really a spoiler since it has been all over social media but the artist formerly known as Damien Sandow has signed with TNA and will debut tonight. He was one guy I thought WWE really dropped the ball with.

I might be going to my first ever Ring of Honor show next weekend in Vegas. I've never been so that could be cool.

Adam Cole (Bullet Club) vs Jay Lethal for the title.

Heard that Will Ospreay has a deal to work with Ring of Honor, he should fit in well with their style.

I think Lethal is going to lose the title at the next PPV. He has held it over a year, time for somebody else to hold the belt.

Great now Dave is saying his guess is that Lesnar will main event at RR against the title holder, which means he has a shot at beating Orton. I tell you sometimes I get sick of Vince, eventho I worry about the company once he's gone.

I'll be pissed if Brock goes over against a guy more mainstream then he is.

Just finished watching this weeks CWC. Wow. More of that please. I can't really think of anything else to say other than it was the first time I've been on the edge of my seat in a long time.

Has the network been fixed for Chrome? I really want to get back on the network, but I refuse to sign up (even for free) if I can't watch anything

Guess it is a good thing he isn't paired with The Rock then. You're saved jumping/falling off your roof again.

If anyone is interested Fox Sports is doing a four-part documentary series on CM Punk training for his first UFC fight. Part one premieres Monday night at 9:30 on FS 1.

There will be a first look at Holey Foley after Summerslam goes off the air next Sunday night.

CM Punk is a pro wrestler, plain and simple.

I don't even mind him leaving WWE (although his contention that Chris Hero would have been better as the 3rd guy in the Shield than Roman reigns is total crap), but he went about leaving wrong.

Instead of trying to ply his trade in another craft, he should have just done the AJ Styles thing and gone to Japan to wrestle for a couple years. The two-year run AJ Styles had in New Japan was the best run by a white guy in Japan since the glory days of Stan Hansen and Steve Williams. Plus I don't think people truly recognized his greatness as a performer until he was having matches of the year left and right with all the studs in NJPW. But that's more TNA's fault than AJ's.

Punk is such a jerk. I used to be a big Punk fan but he's awful and so smug and he has no reason to be smug. He's kind of a whiny douche and pretty arrogant toward fans.

A.J. no doubt adopted his personality too. You all remember that girl in high school or college who would start listening to the same music or adopting all of the beliefs of their boyfriend? That's AJ.

She was treated great in WWE, pushed to the top, held the title multiple times and was paid like the Bellas too yet she acts like WWE is the devil.

Wrestlers I've never heard a bad thing about IRL when it comes to interaction with fans:

DDP
Triple H
Terry Funk
Rob Van Dam
Molly Holly
Ricky Steamboat
D-Von Dudley
Kane

Wrestlers I've heard lots of bad things about IRL when it comes to interaction with fans:

Konnan
CM Punk
Ric Flair
Tully Blanchard (this could just be kayfabe)
Virgil
Bubba Ray Dudley

I've heard so many stories that went along the lines of "Met the Dudleys! D-Von was great, Bubba was a prick."

Of your list, BKH, here is who I can vouch for:

D-Von is a freaking teddy bear. Both with fans and backstage. Last time TNA was in Pikeville, the guy who sets up the ring was having trouble with the boy her daughter was seeing. This dude calls the guy's cell phone and D Von grabs it and cuts a promo how if he doesn't stop f***ing with his guy, he was gonna have one pissed off n***** coming for him. (His words, not mine, must clarify.) Then hung up the phone put it in the guy's pocket and said it he had any trouble out of that guy, just let him know.

Kane is another who just loves what he does. I've met Kane three times and every time, he's always thanking us for getting everything ready, and is just a nice guy.

Ric Flair I only met once, and it was at the airport in Charlotte. He was getting off the plane I was getting on. Bit of a dick. Actually kinda acted annoyed people recognized him.

CM Punk, huge ***. As soon as he entered the building, he wanted in his dressing room away from everyone. Bitched out loud when the locker room was all together going over their matches, and stood 40 feet away from everyone to be an ***. Wanted absolutely nothing to do with anything that wasn't do the match and GTFO.

Some you didn't mention that I have had interaction with:

Big Show. See Kane. Dude is just happy to do what he does, and enjoys being there. Hard to pick who is nicer between the two.

Jericho. Last time he was in Pikeville was the time before this last WWE show. After the show, he was leaving the arena and asked what was good to get something to eat where we were. I had to do it, and I said there was a Dairy Queen not too far from here. He laughed, immediately got what I was referencing, and said "f*** you" as he left the building. He was one of the nice ones though. But I have noticed, it seems that the old veterans are usually the nice ones.

Bischoff. Dude is an absolute ***. What you see on screen is exactly what you get backstage.

Mick Foley. Besides the fact he whacked me across the back with a chair, dude is alright. He was with TNA several years ago, and after we set up the ring the same guy who had D Von take his phone let me in the ring and take a few bumps. Foley is ringside, and when we leave the ring, pops me across the back with a chair and says I can say I took a shot from the hardcore legend. He constantly is making jokes. Can't help but laugh being around him.

I know there are others I have met that I could probably list, but these are the ones that stand out most.

OK, who let Heisman post as BKH?

Hero would have been great. Different. But great.

Now that WWE is pushing some fat guys, can they sign Hero again?

I love this so much. I don't know why I'm such a mark for "D-Von Dudley is a nice guy" stories. Probably because he has to put up with Bubba all the time.

I met a bunch of guys at a TNA show years ago.

Kurt Angle was just kind of meh.

Rhyno was just rude.

Gail Kim was very sweet.

Christian and AJ Styles were weird because they seemed to be trying to be nice but also stay in character as heels

Well, to state the obvious, Honky Tonk Man is widely considered to be the biggest prick outside the ring.

Know some people who've met Cornette both at events where he is supposed to be "on" and just out in public and they all say he is glad to talk wrestling anywhere with anyone and is pretty friendly.

Corny will go out of his way to be nice to someone to talk wrestling. He loves it, he's one of those people that grew up loving it, and never lost that. However, he also doesn't care to send people down the river if he has a beef with them, or doesn't like what they are doing.

I met him a couple years ago at some event in Lexington that he was speaking for. Afterwards, approached him, and we talked wrestling for almost an hour. What was cool was he didn't just answer questions, he would ask questions back and wanted to know what I thought on some things. Did some fantasy bookings, and what should have beens on a few old angles and storylines.

Biggest takeaways from that conversation, dude hates him some Johnny Ace and Vince Russo. Spoke fairly well of everyone else we talked about, didn't hold back anything on those two.

I think time has proven that he was right to hate Vince Russo.

Nothing has ever been Russo's fault. He gets credit for everything and he knows everything and says "bro" a lot. A LOT!

Things Vince Russo did well:

1. He gave as many people on the roster something to do during a given show.

2. He booked Survivor Series 1998, which might be this thread's favorite PPV of all time, as well as the subsequent Raw from Rupp.

Things Vince Russo did not do well:

1. Anything else.

Vince, and his homeboy Ferrara, another one Corny clearly hates, tried making these soap opera angles, and they just sucked. The swerves, the trying to confuse what was a work and what was a shoot, bringing talent's real life issues into storyline, it all just stunk.

Yeah, Russo booked Survivor Series 98, but I don't give him the praise most do. He had a system of checks and balances to keep him in line in WWE. Who is to say there wasn't tons of WCW ******** that Big Vince and Co. said no to? Someone doesn't go off the deep end like he did in WCW that suddenly.

My theory, he had an ok idea for Survivor Series 98, McMahon and co. polished it and made it work, and because it was Russo's idea, he gets credit for it. It then allowed him to sell WCW a bill of goods that they were getting the best thing going, and the ended up getting a Pinto.

Met Kane at the gym several years ago when there was a Pay Per View at Rupp. Had no intention on bothering him but I was using a machine he wanted to use as well. He introduced himself as Glenn and we ended up working out together for about an hour. Did not once talk about wrestling. Super nice guy.
