since the last thread is filled with crap. Let’s just post a simple score prediction, and maybe a quick synopsis of why u think it’ll go the way u predict. Oh let’s make a rule, no matter what anyone says that u disagree with as to why they chose who they chose, don’t respond to it. ONLY Post your prediction and why and move on. If u want to keep talking trash go back to the other thread. Let’s keep this one an easy read.


I will not predict a score because I’m calling the game but I think it’ll be close, that’s all I’m saying.

No score but ED gets the win, great defense and 3 if not more excellent backs, two QBs, overall maybe the most speed ED has ever fielded.

Certainly over the years, the Horses have been a thorn in the side of some very good ED football teams. Coach Lewis always has his teams ready and he seems to have a lot of tricks up his sleeve given his experience in these type games. I think the Panthers have more athletes across the board and should win this game but it will come down to mistakes and given that this group of Panthers has a lot of playoff experience those should not be a problem. ED 28 Clinton 17

I think it’ll be a great game, but I think ED’s defense will be too much in the end. Any of your guys going both ways will be dirt tired by the start of the 4th quarter.

Alot of pride and tradition behind this game young Clinton team continues to build confidence but just think ED is too strong for us this year.....not giving up no 49 points tho.....35-21 ED

i normally dont do scores, but ED has a very good defense, a brutal running game, and a very good mobile QB. i think thats why ED will win.

Definitely will be tuning into this game tonight, occasionally checking on DH34’s updates. It’s an interesting game. Surely everyone will be going with the consensus, East Duplin winning, but in these rival games, you have to toss the records out, anything can happen. Many of you didn’t expect Clinton vs WRH to be a nail biter.

Wrh missed a couple defensive players that impacted their effectiveness on defense. But make no mistake about it, Clinton is good and very capable tonight. They will have to bring their "A" game, but eduplin can be had. Having said that I think eduplin runs the table until the Eastern finals. Possibly go to state, but annual disappointment awaits. Just my opinion. I'll be the first to congratulate if I'm wrong.

21-15 maybe more huh??? well our seniors want to win too! AND the outright conference title! AND the #1 seed in the playoffs! AND an undefeated regular season! AND we have a lot of seniors too!!! as you can see, it wont take much to motivate either of these teams. there is a lot of motivation to go around!

Crow eating time. How did you guys only beat WRH by 2 points. ED is at least 2-3 TD'S better than the dogs!!!

#2 didnt play against Wallace I believe....kid was a absolute stud we could not get a bead on him..... that stiff arm on our #4 Kyrie....Jesus.... good thing he stepped out of bounds

exactly! i only talk trash when i got somethig to back it up with. i have pointed out on multiple occassions that we dominated WRH despite the only 2 pt. win saying otherwise. we shut them down defensively and moved the ball at will against them. it just didnt translate into as many points as it should have. we overthrew one wide open would be TD, and we just shot ourselves in the foot a couple times in the redzone. also, we missed two FG's our kicker would normally make. versus WRH we had almost 400 yds of total offense, of course most of that on the ground, and WRH didnt even have 200! also we had 23 FIRST DOWNS! WRH only had 5 FIRST DOWNS! the only real offense they had the entire game was the two busted defensive plays we had that resulted in long run TD's for them. like i said, total domination! it would have been a complete injustice to our players if WRH had kicked a game winning field goal against us and stole that win from us! thats how much i feel we controlled that game! some of the WRH and Clinton posters have been saying that WRH, Clinton, and WD were all about the same, but i knew better. i knew we were without a doubt the best team in the conference! i still knew you cant take any team for granted and if we didnt play well that you guys might upset us! luckily for us, we were ready to play last night and did our thing. i dont know what will happen in the playoffs but i do know that we have a good shot to make a good run. we'll just have to wait and see how it all pans out!

thats Chris Benson and yeah he is a stud! i know him personally. saw him grow up. he lives about 2 miles from me. he had over 1800 yds rushing and 34 TD's last year. he is not our fastest top speed back, but has the best vision and is best at turning nothing into something in our backfield imo. we also have at least 4 or 5 other backs that would be starters on most teams.
