Home opener for Clinton hoping to build off the success of the SWO game.....We are a lil banged up with injuries to Faison and Dessus....look for the Clinton O Line to continue to grow Lewis has 3 sophmores and 2 Junior starting out there and they performed well against a stout SWO d line.....Don't know to much about SS besides the fact they are a 3A school from Johnston County don't think they have had a winning season since either 2009 or 2010...with that being said should be a pretty easy game...Skinner and that backfield will probably run wild in front of the home crowd..just looking for the team to continue to grow and that defense to continue to look sharp....lets handle business get that running clock and come out injury free...Prediction: Clinton 49 SS 7....any other thoughts????

I look for the Horses to unleash the reins! Get that W and get the bye week to prepare for 4A Wilmington Hoggard a 4A eastern finalist last year.

SSS has some athletes, but are very young. Last year was their best season to date with 3 wins. This game will not be close, Clinton will win this going away. What Clinton has to do is play this game just as hard as any other, and try not to look ahead to the battle on Shipyard Blvd next the following Friday.

All you need to know is SSS (they go by SSS, mascot Sparton) lost to Nash Central last week, who was on a 25 game losing streak. Clinton by a million.

Don't think we will overlook any team not Coach Lewis's style...I agree O Line gets some more game experience work out any kinks....would like to see better coverage on special teams something I think we will need going forward especially against EB and Wallace down the road.....just hoping for a injury free game we got hit hard Friday.....Skinner looking bigger and faster that young man is going to put on a show no doubt

Any word on the length and severity of Rayquan Faison's injury???.....and any chance the coaches are considering moving up that BIG freshman fullback off JV......#24 Oates can fill in at Fullback on offense but against some of the teams we have coming up for example Hoggard and East Bladen who have tough experienced defenses we are going to need a bigger smashmouth back who can help pick up those tough yards like Faison would do...Oates is more of a speed back.

So Dessus is out for the rest of the season with a tore ACL.....And Faison is out till around the Hoggard game......really sucks for Kavon missing his senior season

pre-mature, I'll confirm.

Confirmed. Kevon has torn ACL, partially torn MCL. Not sure yet if surgery is required now or after the season, it being his senior year he knows surgery means it over, he may try and rehab, take some weeks off, wear a brace and give it a go, he did play in the 2nd half against SWO so who knows. Tough break for him and the Horses. No official word on MRI for Rayquan so fingers crossed for him. Either way, Horses took a blow losing those two for sure. Next man UP!
