Rebuild in one year.
I wonder how he went from having to retire here in 2017 for health reasons to being able to be a head coach. Interestingly enough, his wilkipedia biography doesn't even mention his time at Rutgers.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jerry_Kill
I agree -- but I thought his issue was seizures. Perhaps he found a more effective medication.Looks like he lost a lot of weight. Good for him!

When he was at Rutgers, he said he gained control by restricting carbohydrates and exercising. More recently, at the end of 2022, he said he was running 10 miles per day.I agree -- but I thought his issue was seizures. Perhaps he found a more effective medication.

That was a run heavy Offense which was the exact right thing to do with our personnel. Yesterday I saw more balance which shows he coaches to the players and the competition. He was the reason we went 4-8 in 2017 and won the only 3 B1G wins under Ash as Offensive Coordinator. I would have loved to see Rutgers promote him to head coach and retired Chris Ash after the season.
His QB is a baller. That was a run heavy Offense which was the exact right thing to do with our personnel. Yesterday I saw more balance which shows he coaches to the players and the competition.
Not sure we passed on him but starting and playing at that level is much easier to do and some kids feel like if they’re going to work 100 hours a week for 50 out of 52 weeks they would rather get on the field than be a backup. I think you know this and you just like to stir the pot with every backup and every transfer. His QB is a baller.
Tunde Fatukasi looked good for Bowling Green. 6'5" and over 300 lbs. Why did RU pass on him? Could he be any worse then this year's OL?
No, not the case at all about stirring the pot. I like to keep an open mind and eyes on potential transfers. But you proy think everything is fantastic and we don't need some OL help. And a QB. And WRs. Sheesh. You see, other coaches win with lesser talent. Not sure we passed on him but starting and playing at that level is much easier to do and some kids feel like if they’re going to work 100 hours a week for 50 out of 52 weeks they would rather get on the field than be a backup. And also former coaches haha.
Jerry did the best he could with the talent he had to work with, but RU FB was rated the #112 offense under him.He was the reason we went 4-8 in 2017 and won the only 3 B1G wins under Ash as Offensive Coordinator. I fell over laughing as I was stirring the pot.Apparently some have an issue when talking about Jerry Kill. Expect this thread to get locked.
If I’m not mistaken, it was our offense that gave him the seizures?? No??I agree -- but I thought his issue was seizures. Perhaps he found a more effective medication.

If I were him, I wouldn't mention it either.I wonder how he went from having to retire here in 2017 for health reasons to being able to be a head coach. Interestingly enough, his wilkipedia biography doesn't even mention his time at Rutgers.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jerry_Kill
Ash got Kill trashed? Even @Plum Street did not predict that.He did get knocked over in the sidelines by someone... offense? Maybe
I have a dim recollection of that. I thought of mentioning it but then decided I wasn't sure it had happened. He did get knocked over in the sidelines by someone... offense? Maybe
he had a seizure after the hitHe did get knocked over in the sidelines by someone... offense? Maybe
Jerry Kill pulled an Urban Meyer. Although Kill's retirement seemed much more legit than Meyer's two retirements.I wonder how he went from having to retire here in 2017 for health reasons to being able to be a head coach. Because they’re not playing 3 Top 15 teams. Yeah we need to get better everywhere and I like Kill but it’s not like we had some ingenious offense to go 4-8 when he was here. We had Gus the bus and we rode him. We also finished 4-8 which is same as this year so it’s not like we got over any humps. Kill is a solid coach and Tunde is probably a solid OL. They both finished 6-6 in much weaker conferences. Don’t forget to post about Buffalo playing now.No, not the case at all about stirring the pot. I like to keep an open mind and eyes on potential transfers. But you proy think everything is fantastic and we don't need some OL help. And a QB. And WRs. Sheesh. The key to longevityLooks like he lost a lot of weight. Good for him!
I never implied Kill should be the coach here, but Tunde deserves a look, and might consider coming here.Because they’re not playing 3 Top 15 teams. yes Cole went to a program that had a roster that was competitive with it's conference foes.I never implied Kill should be the coach here, but Tunde deserves a look, and might consider coming here.
Thanks for the reminder on Buffalo. We were out on a four hour hike most of the day. But I caught the highlights. Cole Snyder is lucky to have escaped the futility that is RU offense. He threw for over 3,000 yards this season, something that took Noah 2 years to accomplish when you add the two years together and something that has not happened since Mike Teel 2008. Pathetic.
They are playing and winning in their conference, we ar playing and losing in our conferenceBecause they’re not playing 3 Top 15 teams. Hmm, definitely cant compete in the Big 10. Don’t think we would do any better in the WestDrop out of the B1G East. Problem solved
