Jim Mason, who served as head football coach at North Stanly in 2008 and 2009, and at Albemarle in 2016, passed away today from COVID. Jim had retired following the 2017 school year and moved to Swansboro. Please be in prayer for his wife, Andrea and children Skyler and Garrett.

Did not know. Sad to hear. Mason got a raw deal at Albemarle from the system which is nothing unusual.
Very sorry about this. I hope his family will be comforted by their memories.
Did not know him, but remember thinking AHS had made a good hire. Seemed like a good guy and a solid coach.
