I think you've helped us prove that Burns has a very good program based on our location. Fallston is a very small area. For us to be as good as we've been is hard to imagine. Unlike y'all, we don't pull from heavily populated areas like Shelby, Boiling Springs, Gaffney, Gastonia, Charlotte, etc.

How good have you been? I never said you didn't have a good program. For what it is, it's perfectly fine.

LOL... I really don't know what your talking about. I do edit because things come to me after I hit post that I think will rile folks up. I can assure you whatever you think it's about it's not, but I'm glad you got a good laugh out of it.

How did we get pulled into this? The KM offense isn’t pedestrian, we don’t always execute in the passing game at times. Most of the Charlotte schools just try to get it to a good athlete in space with no real offensive scheme. There is a difference.
That aside Burns never really stopped that “pedestrian” offense. The only thing that kept you guys somewhat close were the three second half fumbles by one of our running back. First half we had the ball four times and scored three touchdowns. A muffed punt return was the fourth time we would have had ball. That pedestrian offense was pretty much moving the ball at will against Burns.

Seeing some Charlotte schools in person, I would say KM offense is better than about all of the publics except 1. The Charlotte schools don't have depth numbers advantages either. It used to be a school like Mallard Creek could send 4 dline in on 3rd down and it not be a drop off from the 1st string talent, that is no more right now. You have to look at roster sizes and see the numbers aren't there and they don't whole sale swap guys out in groups during defensive series and even have some guys that play on both sides at 4a size schools.

If we didn't get the safety we could have went down the field and tied it. See what I did there? I sounded like your reasoning but the opposite. Had we not fumbled multiple times and muffed a punt we would have scored much more on Burns. Had we not gotten the safety we would have potentially tied the game against KM. Bottom line, you didn't score in the second half and we did get a safety.

Let me add one thing as I edit this post and not delete my original. KM was a damn good team. I am not taking that away from them. Defense is unreal but credit Burns for forcing those turnovers and scoring on that defense to make it a much closer game in the end.

We got in our own way but that’s not taking away from the game that Burns played. Zavion Wilson the former Mountaineer definitely forced one of those fumbles with a great defensive play. I thought Zavion, Mauney, and the interior of your defense played really well. Mauney is really good quarterback and Burns scheme really well on both side of ball. I think those guys having a quarterback in that offense who can run and pass it makes their offense tough to deal with. EG has the same problem that almost all of the GC school have in common, they are lost when it comes to defending the pass lol. It’s almost comical at times the way that ALL of them struggle in pass coverage smh..
