Croatan took it to us three weeks ago. Quite frankly we came out flat and unispired... Our coaching staff showed a few wrinkles last night, but Im sure they've also got some things we haven't seen yet too.

This is going to be one hell of a second round fight.

I think it will be a test of wills, Croatan wants to line up and give it to 4 and i expect that will be the game plan again since we didn't stop them last time. I do believe that you will see a more inspired effort from the Panthers on both sides of the ball. I don't expect that Croatan will stop us like they did last time and i'm pretty sure they haven't seen everything that the coaches have up their sleeve yet. It feels great to be in the second round but that's not enough, i don't believe this team is satisfied yet and they won't be, look out Cougars, i feel like we got something for ya.

We must give a much more inspired effort than we gave three weeks ago. That's for damn sure. Croatan is a damn good football team.

I think teams, as well as the nchsaa, try to do everything in their powers to get playoff games in on time. I can't imagine any games being postponed because of weather that doesn't involve lightning. There was a game MOVED in the first round because the field was unplayable, but the game was played, rain and all.

No, I wasn't saying that. I was just saying that come playoff time, the nchsaa would rather move a game than have it not play it as scheduled, in reference to Firefox asking if they were still playing.

I know. I was more or less replying to him. I haven't heard anything about the game changing time or venue.

thanks DH34. i would say we definitelty put in a very good performance tonight. are we really "back"? well thats up for debate. but we really are looking like contenders again. and oh yeah. croatan acted like a bunch of sore losers. nevertheless they got a beatdown tonight. no ifs ands or buts about it. and congrats to the Horses as well.

Congratulations to the East Duplin Panthers on their 2nd round win. If the Horses and the Panthers take care of business next Friday, in two weeks it could be another showdown in Beulaville, but first things first WIN next week!
