Maybe Norwood or Dixon get a shot with the Titans. I expect the Titans to release Chris Johnson.

The Tennessean reported that they plan to keep him. Bud Adams doesn't give a 17 about winning and has more money than sense. Why else do you cut VY AND fire Jeff Fisher? Cutting VY was the correct move, but firing Fisher was beyond 17ing dumb. I'm ready for that old fart to die and his son to take over. Titans will be in hell until Bud is outta the way. Easily one of the 2-3 worst owners in the league.

Would love to get Boobie to Nashville. It's EXACTLY what they need..

Which is why it will probably never happen.

Yep. Bud Adams is inexplicable committed to a guy who held out twice in his first 4 seasons and hasn't done a damn thing since receiving his huge contract. I said when he held out 2 seasons ago, and I'll say it aGAIN: I'd have traded Chris Johnson during his second holdout. He's fast, but my impression of the guy is that he's a me-first player and team cancer. Should've sold high on him. Now he has little value and a bloated contract no one would touch.

I'd love to see Boobie in Nashville, though.

The Titans have now officially spiraled into the basement of the NFL. As horrible as this season was, I can't imagine the crapfest next year will be.

I used to make fun of the Raiders when they were under Al Davis....Now I know their pain.

Boobie could be a good change of pace back for the Titans. I don't think CJ is the problem right now, but if he had a good change of pace, a bruising running back to spell him, he'd be much more effective in my opinion. It'll never happen though.

According to Dixon's twitter feed, he got a big time phone call tonight that he's very excited about. Coincidence?

The only problem with your theory is the presence of Javon Ringer. He's been the solid, more physical change of pace to CJ. I think it's pretty obvious by now that CJ got his cash and no longer gives a damn. Sure, he'll have a 100-yard game here, a long TD there, but he's nowhere near the same guy he was previously. I'm not looking for anything out of him in 2013, either.

I love AD, but yes... That's about as high as his ceiling is ever going to be in the NFL. Being a Niners fan of 30 years, I've seen just about every snap that he's taken thus far in his career. As much as I'd love to see him break out, he just hasn't been anything more than just impressive enough to stay on a roster.

I still like him as much as just about anyone in the league around the goal line, and I could see him getting 6-10 carries/game as a change of pace or 3rd down back, but I don't think he'll ever have the ability to snag a full time job like many are hoping. He actually had some fairly significant opportunities to impress during his first two years in San Fran, and he just never quite did enough.
