Tall kid, 6' 5" with a rocket, seems to already have some okay chemistry with the receivers. Had an okay season last year on a bad Ashe team. Interception numbers were high...watching a small amount of tape from last year I can't tell whether it was bad scheme or if he's more raw than people think. They didn't score much. Something that @Maiden Creek can do a dive into better than i can.

Either way it gives or JV QB another year to develop.

His OL wasn’t very good so he was constantly under pressure against the better teams they faced!!!

Not too sure, he was throwing to Maiden WRs this week at Maiden high school and sounds like they are crossing their fingers that he is able to come to Maiden. Maybe not a done deal yet. Not sure how they keep getting these kids, maybe jobs at Apple.

Also saw where Culliver dropped his 100m dash time: 10.85.

That's a sub 4.5 40yd dash time...extrapolated out you get approximately a 4.47 40yd dash.

Now Grizz you can’t be using big words like extrapolated around These parts ! Ha ha
Met the creek yesterday at the meet and greet with cheerduck and 65 lion! Good fella! And we had a great time
I’ve never seen anyone eat 14 lbs of livers in one setting though! Then again he’s probably never seen anyone eat a double cheeseburgers and fries before they got their first refill either ! Ha ha good meeting you creek

Lincolnton was supposed to be there ! I called him and asked where he was and he responds “Lynchburg Virginia” which by all accounts ain’t close to hickory ! Next time my friend

Guys, I'm truly sorry. I feel awful about not being there. It would have been so good to have lunch with whom I believe are some of the finest people I know. Usually I blame old age and forgetfulness for my shortcomings ( I learned this new word called dyschronometria as one of my if needed excuses) but I confess to you that I'm not a good email person. I'd been checking occasionally to see if a day had been decided on.

After Shelby Lion called and said "where are you"? I looked and Cheerduck had sent some emails several days earlier. I was thinking like I checked about every couple days but apparently not. This had been nearly a two weeks.
Anyway, fellers, I am awfully sorry I didn't make it and hope I'll get another chance. I would be happy to pay for your meals next time.

Mr. Lincolnton, I'm sorry that we didn't get to see you as well. We'll do it again soon. The food was extra good yesterday for some reason and like Shelby Lion stated, that man from Maiden killed that platter of chicken livers. He impressed me with his appetite. He even had a good suggestion that maybe we tailgate at a Lenoir Rhyne game this coming fall. You better bring a big bucket of chicken if the Creek man shows up.

Cheerduck, thank you for saying something, my friend. That is one great place to enjoy a meal. Their chicken livers are as good as I've had. I understand why MC was attracted to them. Looking forward to the next time. Also, an LR game would be a great place for a tailgate.

Missed you! Lincolnton….I needed you to help me keep Duck and Lion under control. You can’t take them boys anywhere!😜
I will say…the food was good…I had potato salad and fried okra too…my bill was 8 bucks. Hard to believe considering how much food it was.

Ole 65 told a good one about playing on Lincolntons’ brand new field back in ‘65….he some how managed to kick the game ball into the creek and his coach made him go down in that creek and get it back. 😂
just curious…where was the old field? Do you remember?

And then there was Lion….who ordered the assorted desserts. It was abbreviated on the menu….asst. desserts…sooo…you can imagine what he ordered.😂😂

Just for record…I’m not even in the top ten when you talk about “Champeen Hawg Gut” in Maiden. I know a few that would give “Cool Hand Luke” a run for his money!

Hope to see you soon! Lincolnton.

Maiden Creek, it's always good to hear from you, my friend. I'm awfully sorry I missed the gathering. Cheerduck and 65 Lion are always busy being grandpas and Shelby Lion has his hands full being a husband and dad which I know he excels at. Have to say, though, everyone was definitely in good company.

About 65 Lion shanking the ball into Clark's Creek, if he wouldn't have recovered it, that ball, as best as I can figure, considering the curvature of the earth, would have washed up along the coast of Morocco about last year. It would probably be in a museum in Marrakech and labeled as the egg of a prehistoric bird.

About the old field, it was beside of the old Lincolnton High School which is now Lincoln Center of Gaston College on S. Aspen St. It was called Love field, named after the Love family. The parking Lot for the college is now what was then the baseball/football field. Drive by and look at it next time you're down this way. It's a big area. I spent a lot of time there as a kid during the summer and worked the concession stand at night. In the late summer, friends and me would go watch the Wolves practice but mainly to hear the coaches yell at the players.

PS Anyone who can keep up with Cool Hand Luke is truly an eater.

Sunshine dropped some Hudl highlights. Looks like an excellent passer, good pocket presence, and can run if need be. @Maiden Creek

He claims Maiden on this tweet

That's too bad. From what I saw this year he'll never see the field. He doesn't have a strong arm. He's not very accurate. Now he was only a sophomore I think so maybe he can work on that. He did not handle pressure well. Obviously he definitely didn't handle sacks well. So I would be surprised if maiden puts him in there. They play some teams with some guys who can get after you. Although the offense that Ash runs the stupid air raid thing is pretty easily manipulated by smart defenses. If the kids family is moving there that's great. But if I were then I would put an athlete back there. Maybe try them as a wide out.

He's been throwing with our boys a lot and looks the part. On the field, in the yard, in the gym, in the entrance at the school even...wherever they can get together, they're throwing...full speed reps.

He may have been rough as a sophomore...but he'll be fine. We have a coach that can get the best out of his QBs.
