I hope he can do well but am glad that he will no longer be at RC. They have gotten almost every player they wanted for the last 15 years or so. They got many from Africa and from other high schools in NJ as well. He didn’t do very well in his three years at Governor Livingston in Berkeley Heights. If he builds his new charter school into a Powerhouse he might deserve more props.

I was wondering the same thing. I know that when Kevin Boyle first went to St. Pat's they played in the Mountain Valley Conference and were getting beat on a regular basis in a very weak conference. Things turned around for him when Holloway was brought to St. Pat's.

He didn’t do well at Gov Livingston, that’s what you have on this guy? He has a HOF career and you are gigging him for three years in Berkeley Heights? How did the previous and subsequent coaches do at GL? You can’t recruit players from all over the state, US and abroad to come play at a public school. That gets you an exposé in on NJ.com about cheating. Hello Newark Eastside and Paterson Eastside scandals. The only question I have here, is does this move signal the death watch for RC?

Agree. Has to be tough to be a consistent winner at a group 2 public high school. I doubt Bob Hurley would have been a HOF coach without the parade of D1 talent he had.
