Lololol.I still stand by Montez should’ve continued to start along with JY like he did when we were ranked. Not really on topic though.

It’s on topic because it shows all posters what your opinion is worth. If you were coach, you would have banished two time DPOY to St JohnsI still stand by Montez should’ve continued to start along with JY like he did when we were ranked. Not really on topic though.
Its 1 of 2 resume metrics generally used. Average of KPI and SOR. RU's Predictive Metrics are much stronger. Sample Teamsheet link attachedHow do you know it's important?
I didn’t listen to his podcast but I remembered he was a former Ru staffer and started following him on Twitter 2-3 years ago. Last year he never gave us credit for the 4 straight ranked wins as an unranked team ( something that never ever has happened so I would think one would highlight that when tweeting about resume. ). Instead he focused on Lafayette and our NET on every tweet. I called him out for it and asked why he wasn’t more balanced. Never happened. He mentioned a million positives about Rutgers on the most recent podcast. He’s not anti Rutgers he’s a Rutgers alum. Can’t fix stupid geez.
Defending him? I said tough to argue. You want to argue with the guy who’s better at this than nearly every college basketball fan in the world? Have fun. Wish I had your brazen arrogance.
Also those tweets aren’t “negative”.
What we might’ve been on Feb 4 is irrelevant it’s not a tangible thing.I didn’t listen to his podcast but I remembered he was a former Ru staffer and started following him on Twitter 2-3 years ago. So this year comes and after our early injuries things are rolling we are 16-7 and beat Purdue and NW on the road , 2 things he always highlighted about saying we didn’t win on the road . On February 4 , every bracketologist had us as a 5/6. Brad has tweeted almost tweet since then with a negative connotation. He also was quick to drop our seed line from 5/6 to 10/11 to last team in range despite not doing that to other teams that were faltering like Iowa State and Tennessee , who have hardly dropped like 2 seed lines despite their losing streaks . He dropped Ru 5/6 lines an undue harsh punishment and I called him out for his inconsistency. Every tweet about Rutgers is almost totally negative or at best neutral over the last 2-3 weeks.
Anyone trying to get a following or a part of bracketmatrix , when they are inconsistent and doesn’t do their homework, should be called out or challenged to show their work or reasoning. Brad’s response is I will only post negative things and avoid talking about positive things. That doesn’t sit right , does it?
And hurtingNot the best but certainly would put up better numbers. So are you still claiming that Montez Mathis was deserving of all of Caleb’s minutes years ago.
The guy has Providence in over us despite a record of 3-7 against likely teams in tournament versus Rutgers being 7-8. It’s silly to rate strength of out of conference schedule without considering total strength of schedule including in league. What we might’ve been on Feb 4 is irrelevant it’s not a tangible thing.
Think you’re being harsh. Guy is obviously pro RU and one if the best in the business.
But he did consider total strength of schedule. What are you talking about? SOR takes that into account. The guy has Providence in over us despite a record of 3-7 against likely teams in tournament versus Rutgers being 7-8. What do you mean others warts aren’t being highlighted?this...just like last year Rutgers flaws highlighted but others schools get passes on their warts
Lol no one cares about these boards except us.I get the impression that he is on the board and takes cues off what is being discussed here. The Mag injury and how that affects our placement has been discussed in a number of threads. Any other “bracketologists” throwing that out as a metric?
You would be surprised.Lol no one cares about these boards except us.
You don’t live in reality and it shows. Basically every bracketologist has us as either getting one of the last byes or in Dayton. Sorry if this offends you.Get real. We had the Lafayette loss as well as UMASS plus no blowouts out of conference against a mediocre schedule. Our NET was high all year and still high after beating the 4 ranked teams. Still was in the 70’s. We were sweating Selection Sunday and a blind aunt was predicting Dayton.
This year we have the same lousy OOC schedule but he conveniently forgets to mention we beat the Quad 4’s by 35 points each. We have no Quad 4 losses this year some tourney teams or bubbles do.
Our wins especially on the road are elite and very few teams in the country , if any , have a better win than at Purdue when Purdue was the hottest team in the country and overall #1 team
Our metrics and NET are good and the third best defense in the country is something no team other than # 1-3 seed teams can boast ( Houston UCLA Tennessee )
There is no comparison between last year and this year.
This guy is the most negative tweeting guy around , sloppy , lazy.
Go compare Auburn resume to ours and Brad has them as a 10. Their best win and there are not many is against Tennessee who has lost to almost the entire SEC in the last 6 weeks. Check out their losses to the top 2 teams in the SeC , Alabama and Texas Am 2 times, plus Georgia. , Vandy,Kentucky Arkansas , who they beat as well They also lost to Memphis USC and WVU teams in the field.
They have done almost nothing
Thank you! Lol that’s just an insane argument.@AreYouNUTS if he wanted Twitter engagement he wouldn’t be tweeting about Rutgers lmao
They do buddy. If they didn’t Rutgers wouldn’t be dancing at all.Why don’t they look at the 4 quad 1 road wins? Not being blown out all year? Winning at Purdue!
Also almost all of our losses have an asterisk * next to them - 1 or 2 starters missing, winning shots that should not have counted..
I know his background and because of that I think he is overcompensating so if he has a pro RU tweet people will look him up and see he is a RU staffer . What is harsh is his treatment of Rutgers this year !!!Any pro would be balanced listing pros and cons together. Unless you think posting only negative stuff in the 2 weeks leading up to Marsh Madness is being a “ PRO”What we might’ve been on Feb 4 is irrelevant it’s not a tangible thing.
Think you’re being harsh. Guy is obviously pro RU and one if the best in the business.
Providence has just 3 wins vs schools in field. 7-10 in Q1/2....14 wins from Q3/4...10 wins in Q4 Their average kpi/sor which Brad always likes to highlight is 55.5 to RU 54.5What do you mean others warts aren’t being highlighted?
compared to teams Rutgers is around right now who is getting a pass? Nc state has zero q3+4 losses the reason they're even in play for Dayton is they only have 1 q1 win and 3 total vs field, Pitt may get sent to Dayton because of their q4 home loss to fsu, Clemson is likely to be the first team left out with a winning q1+2 record because of their bad losses, Utah state doesn't have great wins but they're top 20 net and could end up in Dayton because of the lack of wins.
Idk he clearly states the reasons for why he has RU in DAYTON. He wouldn’t list the positives as a reason why they’re in Dayton. If the tweet was whey he has RU in the FIELD than the tweet would include the highlights.I know his background and because of that I think he is overcompensating so if he has a pro RU tweet people will look him up and see he is a RU staffer . What is harsh is his treatment of Rutgers this year !!!Any pro would be balanced listing pros and cons together. That's not how the committee is going to look at things. You are reading too much into 2 B1G tournament games because you are a fan. The fact that we beat a mediocre Michigan team and kept it close against Purdue isn't going to have a HUGE impact to overcome a 3-7 record post Mag including a loss at what is one of the worst P6 teams in the country. There is no positive here - The post Mag injury record really hurts RU. Not enough to keep us out but materially so especially when you compared the records pre and post injury.
Brad is also one of the top ranked bracketologists in the country.
rankings.html
Luckily for us a lot of those teams that could hurt us are losing today including Vanderbilt, Ohio State, Cincinnati. Need Tulane and UAB to lose and I think we are good for maybe a 1st round bye.
SOR takes it into account but he never mentioned that Rutgers has 31st toughest schedule in country compared to Providence 46But he did consider total strength of schedule. What are you talking about? SOR takes that into account.
Fwiw he has Rutgers and providence ranked right next to each other. s SOR says Rutgers didn’t perform as well against the 31st toughest schedule than others would’ve.SOR takes it into account but he never mentioned that Rutgers has 31st toughest schedule in country compared to Providence 46
why cant he tweet out the scenario where RU gets a 10 seed or first 11'Fwiw he has Rutgers and providence ranked right next to each other. s SOR says Rutgers didn’t perform as well against the 31st toughest schedule than others would’ve.
Talking thin margins here of course - which is the reason there really shouldn’t be the outrage that people have been saying.
Why would he tweet out what he doesn’t think will happen?why cant he tweet out the scenario where RU gets a 10 seed or first 11'
remember the net is 40 and the kenpom which you use to love is solid at 35
because it could happen....most guys were ripping Rutgers last year for the 77 netWhy would he tweet out what he doesn’t think will happen?
It’s very close for sure.
If you have the 31st overall SOS weighting the OOC SOS makes zero sense. You played a very tough schedule all year. It gives outweighed importance to a minority of gamesFwiw he has Rutgers and providence ranked right next to each other. s SOR says Rutgers didn’t perform as well against the 31st toughest schedule than others would’ve.

Those PSU wins were pretty much disregarded last week. We were on a losing streak and looked miserable. What a difference a week makesthe negative is mainly about the 4 Q3
we dont know how the committee will look at that
we do know RU has an outstanding win as well as a total of 7 wins including 2 vs Penn State who almost no one gave credit for winning when we beat them.
also Brad has basically dismissed the idea of the tribal advantage from the Ohio State game
Though you’re being funny I think there’s truth to what you’re disagreeing with. But of course with SOR, never losing by more than 13 ( and only twice at that) doesn’t matter.
But of course it’s infinitely better to lose Q1 games at Tenn by 34 points than lose a close one to a Q3 opponent, right? Keeps that resume nice and clean..
SOR takes care of that dilemma entirely so it’s a moot pointIf you have the 31st overall SOS weighting the OOC SOS makes zero sense. You played a very tough schedule all year. It gives outweighed importance to a minority of games
I mean - in all seriousness, suppose we were scheduled to play Gonzaga instead of Lafayette that day last year. We would’ve lost by 40. Would that have been a quality loss?Though you’re being funny I think there’s truth to what you’re disagreeing with.
He has Providence avoiding Dayton and in my opinion it shouldn’t be close between our resume and ProvidenceFwiw he has Rutgers and providence ranked right next to each other. s SOR says Rutgers didn’t perform as well against the 31st toughest schedule than others would’ve.

Not sure the best way to answer, but my thought process generally is a 40 pt result, either way (win or lose) is less representative of the two teams real quality than a competitive game that one team is “supposed” to win by 25.I mean - in all seriousness, suppose we were scheduled to play Gonzaga instead of Lafayette that day last year. We would’ve lost by 40. Would that have been a quality loss?
I’m setting mine 12 hours aheadGood thing the clocks go ahead tomorrow. Selection Sunday Show can’t come soon enough!
You’re singling our Brad but do you realize he has Providence one spot ahead of RU while the rest of the top 100 bracketologists have Providence 3 spots ahead of RU on average? He has Providence avoiding Dayton and in my opinion it shouldn’t be close between our resume and Providence
