False. Probably the most bland food I've ever had in my life. I tried fish n chips at 3 different places and they all sucked.
The indian restaurants are pretty good though; too bad I don't like indian food either. Desserts now, they've got that licked....and English style breakfast is amazing. The best restaurants in London are Nando's. When that place finally invests in the USA it will explode. If you ever get to DC/VA/MD area, look them up; they've got several locations there.
I found it weird that Brits put butter on their sandwiches instead of mayo.
Wow, it sucks you don't like Indian food, because they rock it over there. Interesting fact: chicken tikka masala is the national dish of England.
I still disagree though. The food I had was anything but bland. Their sausages are 17'n awesome!!! The thing with fish'n'chips is just like burgers over here; there are so many of them, and such a simple thing is easy to **** up. The place I frequented in Southampton had a great piece of fish.
I had the best oyster I've ever had in my life at Borough Market in London. I ate a ton of seafood, lamb, and duck. Yeah, some meals weren't so good, but no more so than meals I'd expect to have in the states.
I'm glad you liked the breakfast, because I agree, it's the ****. I ate it every morning while there and rarely had the hankering for lunch.
Lets be honest though: the english beers and ciders are the troof. Am I right?
Edit: I forgot to mention their meat pies. I had a particularly good steak and ale pie at the oldest pub in Southampton... Ah...May...Zing...
