The highest-ranked champion of the non-AQ conferences gets an autobid if they finish in the top 12, or if they finish in the top 16 and are higher than an AQ conference champion.
Louisiana Tech is #20 right now with 2 more games that they'll almost definitely win. Their computer average sucks, but the people will keep ranking them higher if they keep winning, especially with the 2-point loss to Texas A&M looking better and better. I think it's totally plausible they finish 16th or higher.
The Big East will probably be won by whoever wins between #19 Louisville and #23 Rutgers, and the Big 10 will come down to #14 Nebraska, #21 Michigan, and unranked Wisconsin, so all that has to happen is one of those conference champs be ranked below La Tech. It could happen pretty easily.
ETA: It could also happen if Oregon is upset in the Pac-12 championship game or Florida State upset in the ACC championship game.
