Cam leaving is reminiscent of Eugene Omuruyi

Leading scorer leaves seemingly out of nowhere after we bring in a player (Yeboah/Fernandes) from outside who will make the team better, but likely compete for minutes.

One has to wonder which comes first I. These situations and no one is immune to defections.

We can blame NIL or tampering all we want, but this is program building in the modern era.

Bringing a PG has nothing to do with a SG's decision to leave and Cam fit well in the locker room unlike Eugene who the team was not sad to see leave.

It's not about PG or SG, it's about number of available shots from the arc. Next year we will have Fernandes and Griffiths pulling the trigger a lot from range, and an offense looking to set them up, which could take from Spencer's opportunities.

This year we were only really looking for Spencer and Hyatt on the arc, and the other threes were opportunistic or forced due to shot clock.

Regardless of position, the addition of those two players would cut into Spencer's attempts.

Not convinced it's that because we never saw Cam demanding the ball all season or putting up tons of shots just for the sake of shooting. And I believe Fernandes style of play benefits Cam since he drives to the basket and when defenses collapse on him both Cam & Gavin will be open at the arc for wide open 3s.

Hopefully we get some answers from the podcast. This is going to be an interesting one for sure.

Cam was great and my favorite player last year but he is replaceable. Im more worried Cliff is not coming back.
