It is kind of laughable that people think Delaney is concerned about the Flood email scandal. Delaney has the NCAA give one of his star football coaches a show-cause penalty that essentially banned him from coaching. He has seen the NCAA vacate 5 seasons worth of games from one of the leading basketball programs. Another high visibility program was harboring a pedophile for years. I'm pretty sure he sees Flood's email as a minor blip.
Not really sure I get the gist of it he "gets it right." he said exactly what he should be saying, and what anyone would say in his position right now, so what's the big deal? Could you imagine your conference leader coming out and saying "well I think Rutgers should fire Kyle Flood..." To a reporter, from a newspaper system that would take even the slightest hint of anything like that, being said, and turn it into lord-knows-what??

I always like his comments and his sentiment echoes what I've said here in the past. Everyone has problems from time to time whether it's college programs or just regular joes like us in everyday life. You face them, deal with them, hopefully try to prevent them from happening again and move on.
You can't pay attention to what the media wants to harp on that's their business and frankly out of your control. It'll be worse in this market, so be it. Just keep your blinders on and go about your business getting things done that need to get done.
