DeMatha High School (The Big News of The Week)

While visiting my nephew Rhett in Charlotte at his corner crack survivor house on Ferncliff road, he decided to take me around the hood to meet all his homies on a perfect area where I heard 10 gun shots fired within 5 minutes and 3 fights within 2 blocks and a murder scene 5 blocks over. I called Sawyer to pray for us....
Suddenly my little brother who is a wana-be chef and has a fantasy of working with Gordon Ramsay called me.
Anyhow he mentioned that DeMatha is scheduled to play Mallard Creek.................IS THERE ANY THRUTH TO THIS?

DeMatha was known as a basketball school thanks to Morgan Wooten, but they have produced good football teams and football players as well. If this games comes to be .. It would be a match up of high school football titans.
They finished # 5 last year Nationally. This years team returns #1 RB in the Nation with about 10 FBS players. That's not counting the new guys they aggressively recruit during off season.

DeMatha came down and played Thomasville about 20 years ago, when Allen Brown's powerhouse teams were in their glory years. If I remember correctly, DeMatha beat them in a fairly close game.
Where the ref "made a mistake" on the deep 3 pointer with four tenth of a second on the clock......so they say
Thomasville played Dematha back in 1993,they won 24-7 I think...thomasville had a down year in 1993,but we played them tuff,if we played them the year before or the year after we would have won...Dematha was ranked #24 nationally that year I believe

DeMatha has become a very strong football program over the last 15 years. Have turned out some talent. Look forward to seeing this one. Saw DeMatha play at Cincinnati Saint Xavier. The Stags v The Bombers back in 2007. St X had a pretty good junior linebacker with a funny name, Kuechly, to go along with a loaded squad. DeMatha had a lot of skill talent but not the depth nor linemen to compete against one of the best couple of teams in the nation.
