Love these segments.

Great kid, and love that we have a South Jersey baller on our team (last I recall was Anthony Farmer when I first started watching/listening to RU basketball as a little kid).

And just think some people (one particular poster from Sojo) didn’t trust in Pikiell and didn’t think a kid from a public South Jersey school like Lenape was a good get.

I said I wasnt expecting much Freshman year though he could have a bigger impact than Geo as a freshman and he had barely scratched the surface because Lenape coach is **** and pike will get a lot out of him.

You must be thinking of someone else. @ me

I recall you saying you weren’t expecting much from Simpson based on what you heard from people in/around Lenape basketball.

I do recall you saying the Lenape coach was **** and that was a plus for Simpson. So maybe it wasn’t you, but your buddies in/around Lenape who were off on Simpson

Also not sure how the coach is **** they’ve been pretty competitive since he took over….sounds like another personal axe on someone like the NIL guy you hate lol.

Anyways don’t mean to derail the thread - was a nice video of his upbringing and family.

Really nice Scarlet Knight Tale on Derek. Enjoyed it a lot.
Wishing him a great career at Rutgers. Seems like a good kid.

I said people were “up and down” on him last year lmao I never turned it into a referendum on his career. What NIL guy?

You said what I quoted - I went back in thread and looked lol. Yes you were also comparing to Geo.

Belzer or whatever his name is. Seems like you have some personal beefs with various people?

How aggressive he is to the basket sets him apart. Just watching his HS highlights shows you that and you get the idea that this kid could really be a star. After seeing his support system, how he came up and a glimpse of the person he seems to be?... This kid is going to be a MEGASTAR! Write it down.

Pike,

No beefs. Think you like to create them. When I compliment people you’re now here to be found. Is what it is.

Looked back at Simpson thread just now and realized I absolutely nailed it. Less points than Geo but bigger impact, a lot of upside in a not very refined game, ups and downs not a very efficiency scorer has highs and lows.

Such a non-story quote post by you smh

You called Belzer a “clown” in a previous thread. Also, you’re saying the Lenape hs coach is a “****” coach.

You’re an RU and I believe Lenape grad, so sounds like it could be personal. If not, maybe just a bit hateful.

And okay you may have not have been directly wrong about Simpson but your buddies who relayed the information to you about not expecting much from Simpson were wrong.

Farmer as a kid! I have never felt older. One day we will have to tell you about the Littlepage years

Best quote from his father, “If you’re doing the same thing you did last year, you’re not getting any better. You gotta improve on that.”

Just watching him, you can see he’s absorbing a little more knowledge each game, about how to compete at this level.

If that’s the mindset of this young man, then we have a lot to look forward to.

Great Kid wonderful family. Public School kid too. He will be the face of the program going forward even with the 5 stars coming in Derrick will be in charge.

The future is bright and he is a shining star.
