Better not come to 6pack with that ****... ! :)

On top of that West Monroe's colors are red, white and blue, so for all everyone knew the balloons were for WM. Either way, West Monroe is quality program, won NC years back and numerous 5A state titles. Their coach teaches hard nosed fundamentals, however steers his studs towards LSU.

But that guy is sick. I'll take a guy that can put on 30 lbs of muscle and has a mean streak... If he's greyshirting or even redshirting, I think he'll be ready to play in 2 or 3 years

pipeline going from there. Make it a State feeder football school.

but I don't think that's realistic because LSU is always going to be the team with the pipeline there. I see them exactly like South Panola for us in terms of recruiting. Great football program, but because of their location, it's not likely that we get a whole lot of guys there. We should still recruit there and try to get what we can. After all, we were able to get Derek Pegues from South Panola- but a pipeline probably isn't realistic.

Maybe we can't get the 4-5 stars, but there must be plenty of 3's to go after if they are ahead of Ms. in NFL talent per capita. We got one last year and one this year and Croom thought he had a QB like we did this year with CN. I'll say this for Auburn, they asked for some and got it.

What were some of the comments? My guess is that when the writer says "he knew he was settling for second best" referring to La Tech, that stirred some of rustonians to there keyboards.

Article:
Many of the area’s top recruits had long acknowledged where they would be signing — some as far as back as this summer and some as recently as two days ago.

But all didn’t go as planned on Wednesday.

There had to be one curve ball, and it came from one of the biggest goofballs to ever walk the hallways of West Monroe.

Offensive lineman Dillon Day is fun loving with his usual attire consisting of stone washed colored jeans and some hightop sneakers straight from the ’80s LA Gear line.

All kidding aisde though, Day knows what he wants and even when he committed to Louisiana Tech this past weekend, he knew he was settling for second best.

“I was waiting for my offer from Mississippi State, and it didn’t come,” Day said. “So I was just kind of like, ‘What’s going on?’ That’s when I decided to go to Tech.”

That was until noon Tuesday when the Bulldogs from out of state contacted Day’s mother, who found a way to get in touch with her son in the middle of the school day.
“Mississippi State was always No. 1,” Day said. (Offensive line coach) John Hevesy is a really good coach. He coached for Florida when they won the national championship so I feel like I can get the best out of it.”

Day withdrew from any eccentric wardrobe for signing day. Instead, his sister Cassie made a pitstop in Mississippi on her way from New Orleans just to be at Day’s signing. “She got me a jacket and a hat,” Day said. “I had a hoodie I like, but she made me wear this.”

And actually the roads are probably worse from there to BR. There's no reason why we can't recruit that area for players not quite good enough for LSU -- ala Montrell Connor and Dillon Day.

Louisiana is all LSU. Folks have other teams they cheer for in other parts of the state, but 89% of Louisiana's residents cheer for LSU, and kids grow up dreaming of playing for LSU.

but regardless, LSU will always have the advantage. However we should still recruit that part of the area because not every kid will choose home state loyalty over playing time, offensive system, etc.

It's also quicker to drive through Natchez than Jackson. If you know a shorter way to Starkville than I-20 then Hwy 25. I'd love to hear it. I've tried 165 to 82 but Greenville really slows you down. I20-I55-82 isn't much better.

To Starkville (251 miles) just under 4 hours. I can make it to Baton Rouge (186miles)in under 3 hours easy.

BTW, my ranking of SEC fans in Monroe is LSU>>>>>>>>Arkansas>>Ole Miss>State=Bama
