It was 20 years ago. BSU = Rick's Rowdies
I know if I was a student and got in line hours before the game then I would sit anywhere I pleased and would laugh my *** off if a Rowdy tried to tell me I couldn't. Imagine if the a Frat sends their pledges to get in line and hold a few seats, what will the Rowdies do then? Especially if it is one of the African American Fraternities.

I think the Rowdies get there early and do their best to support their team, which is what we all should be doing there. But the priority points seating thing is a damn joke. The system has worked for years- Get there early, get the best seats. There weren't reserved seats- first come, first served. Anything else is stupid. Part of the group really works. I'd love to see everyone in the student section wearing the same color, and if the rest of the students had the spirit of most of the Rowdies that would be great too. But the meetings/having officers side of it is retarded. All the officers need to do is order the damn T-shirts. Also, unless it's changed the way officers are selected is awful. 07-08's president showed up for like 2 games, and right as the doors opened.

understand that 3% percent of the Rowdies played a sport in high school so my biggest complaint would be that they need to get knee walking hammered drunk and look like idiots instead of being stone sober and making all of state fans look like complete idiots. Unfortunately on tv thats the perception you get. I can remember 5 or 6 years ago getting in line at 10am with a bottle of segrams 7 for a game that started at 6 that night and yes i looked completely retarded but at least i had an excuse.

to all rowdies:

you are all 17ing terrible. part of me almost wishes zero of our games were
nationally televised so mississippi state university would not be embarrassed
and have a tarnished image when people see you 17ers in your maroon hair,
batman costumes, and girls wearing shirts about 2 sizes to small and 2 twinkies
away from explosion. actually, its probably good that you all wear your maroon
hair and costumes because half of yall look like you don't shower anyway........
seriously rowdies? please stop. yall have no right to say other students sit down, don't
get loud, etc....when half of yall can't even spell basketball and much less actually know
the rules and what the hell is going on in the game. it's getting old. yall are awful. end
of story. but good luck getting to games at 4am and getting those seats. good luck
dealing with other non rowdy students sitting in your seats and not moving....

good thing we only have to deal with yall for one sport......jeez...

So you wish none of our games were on national TV b/c people around the nation who could give a **** less about the Rick's Rowdies would think bad about the university? You really think people watching games are saying, "Jesus, that's the worst thing I've ever seen. I hate Mississippi State now, I hope they lose every game b/c of the Rick's Rowdies." I'm not a supporter of Rick's Rowdies but they don't bother me to the point of "being embarrassed." You're a 17'ing douche.

Geez...sure they might not be the "most popular" or "most attractive" people on campus, but something tells me half of the people posting all this vitriol towards them don't have much to brag about either. I have been attending MSU basketball games for years, as a student and an alum, and I have never had a problem with the Rowdies. It's too bad we can't all be as "cool" as some of you...

I have been in school for several years now at Mississippi State, and I have been a long time basketball supporter. I wear a normal jacket and a normal shirt, and I can not stand social clubs. I love and know the game of basketball. I have plenty of friends and I feel I do not need to join a social club to get priority seats. As a student at Mississppi State, I am entitled to any of the seats that are open at the time of my arrival. If those seats happen to be on the 2nd row, then that is where I will sit. If someone tries to tell me different, they will have a problem.

For the record, I do not cheer and I am not loud. I am a very quiet and reserved person. I know the game of basketball and I follow college basketball very closely. The fact that I am not loud and into cheers does not mean that I am not a MSU basketball fan. Some people need to get head out of their asses if they think they willl get priority seating based on being in a social club. As a matter of fact, I am a member of a much larger club and that is the Mississippi State student body. And as far as I know, Mississippi State students are allowed to sit on a first come, first serve basis. And I will continue to do that.</p>

SallyStansbury[/b]]It would kind of be like the Chi-O's at MSU....85% nasty-***-homey-legacy types, 10% decent chicks, and 5% homecoming court material.
I don't know what Chi-O's you have been looking at. They are about 75% super hot, 15% (id hit it), and 10% no way jose. You must have them mixed up with Zeta or something. Who by the way, also has plenty of girls I would not mind fornicating with.

The RR are going nowhere, this is unfortunate, but the type of people that are RR are too stubborn to simply move or stop. And someone mentioned something about how they reflect badly on the university when shown on national tv, I'd totally agree with that, perhaps if the RR got a few face guys up front this wouldn't be such an issue (this is highly unlikely).

Also, I don't know where they are seated anymore, but the entire student section needs to be behind of the goals including the RR.

Did I call that dead cat bounce or what?

I can't disagree here either, but I think (at least I'd like to) that most people out there are rational enough to know that every university has its social plebs, and they usually flock to clubs like these. The Crazies at Dook are a prime example of this.

it has nothing to do with anyone wish for us to lose games. why the hell would people around the country wish for us to lose games because the rowdies look like ****? people don't wish for us to lose games - they are too busy laughing their asses off to even pay attention to the game anymore. it has A LOT to do with the universities image. but if you are fine with people around the country thinking miss state athletics fans are about wigs, costumes, and chest paint....then you must be the douche.

just sayin...

....I haven't seen hot chicks at the front of the student section on TV since the referee girls graduated.

God bless the referee girls.
