Do cops other than the Middlesex sherrifs hunt for underage drinkers?

How many citations were issued in Yellow yesterday?
In the case I witnessed the under 21 individual was standing holding a can
at a sedate, calm tailgate scene. is this really necessary?

Not the OP, but you really have to be a moron to stand out in public and hold a beer can when you're underage. Why not just wave a red flag?

Christ, use a cup or keep it hidden.

The Middlesex County Sheriffs have told our group that RUPD has put all of the underage drinking on them. RUPD won't do it because they are the daily face of police on campus and the MCSD is only there for games.

and as Kightfan said, If you are going to outright drink in public you better be of age...calm quiet tailgate or not. you are really waving the red flag.

Or as I've said previously come to the silver lot. The next LEO there this season will be the first. What a deal - pay less and don't have to deal with them.

The only problem with the silver lot is that car blocking us from leaving out the back way.

Agreed. It's almost as nonsensical and ridiculous as the fact to bring water in the cap has to be on but if you buy one inside they remove the cap.

Red Solo cup 250 count for $10 at Costco.Problem Solved

Nope. I had 3 sheriffs come up to me when I was an undergrad and ask me what was in my cup and even sniff it after I told them it was alcohol. Made me walk to the middle of the aisle so more people could see and make a scene out of it. This was while I was just standing there in a small 10-15 person low key tailgate.

I don't get that. Why do they do it? If you take a left out of the lot you come right up to the trafic light and it is easy to go in any direction you want. What is the point in blocking that exit?

Why do we have SO many cops at the game?
Is it to just get a revenue bump for underage drinking?
I swear I went to PSU this year...I did not see one cop there in my lot...and they had like 4-5 times more tailgaters.
I just don't get the heavy storm trooper presence.

It's become another $$$$ grab for Middlesex County L.E. ... I mean... litterally there were over 70 cops loading into several buses after the game ...and that's just at the glen...in the Black lot areas there were at least 10 sitting in vehicles... but... what's totally hilarious are the same cops at the circle after the games...the nightingale service drivers take their lives in their hands...the police ( same guys every game) don't direct anyone.... Rutgers can't afford the B!G salaries but we certainly can fund the pension coffers of our public servants.

And I have no problem with the enforcement of the law just think the home team should be doing the "heavy lifting" (insert roll eye guy) here and not a mercenary /carpetbagger.

What is the penalty for under aged drinkers and do others in the tailgate who are potentially of age get ticketed as well? We were in the RAC parking lot, middlesex sheriff passed by multiple times but never got out with the exception of taking a pic with a group of MSU fans. Naturally I photobombed it and they started chanting ******* at me. LOL

For the first time this season, no police driving Grave Digger through our section of the black lot, and this even as paramedics were able to cart someone out who looked in a bad way during pregame tailgate.

underage drinking is an $800 ticket. I am not aware of anyone who was of age hosting a tailgate who got ticketed.
