True story. Roy got cut from the freshman team at Franklin! (Even I made it ) but we were all shocked! But of course by our Senior year we were one of tge best in NJ.. Roy was dominant

I don’t recall Jaden having a college degree and multiple years as a starter on a P6 team and conference honors.

Cliff is intelligent. He’s won’t be leaving for the NBA draft. It will be about $$ and where he can improve the most….unless, of course, he feels there is unfinished business here and whether that’s important to him.
He needs to be able to have a short jumper game, finish his layups and decrease misses on slam dunks. Wherever he can work on this best is where he should go.

That is a tough one. But I am thinking it was near the Rhode Island bench. I have a vision of him grabbing Hinson‘s shirt, but I might be mistaken.
Apparently its the NBA because he admitted in an interview that he spent the WHOLE off season working on his mid range and 3pt jump shot instead of working on his post game, post defense and rebounding technique.
Cliff is an engineering student, very difficult to graduate in 3 yrs even with summer school. Course sequencing was always an issue as I remember, could be different now for me that was a long time ago, will he have his degree in May, know this is important to him, everybody talking about G league, not sure another year @RU isn’t better for him.
Can’t see Reeber coming back, think Mulcahy, palmqist and Hyatt all come back, Miller? Where’s he going to go, will they counsel him out, again his minutes are gone as are Reeber’s

Ummmmm....no its not. The NBA requires big men to rotate out and defend the perimeter when needed. With the increased focus on the 3pt game, defense has evolved and teams that win learn to defend the arc. Gobert, Capela, Williams III and Robinson are examples of big men who do not have much offensive game but are starters paid well and thriving on NBA rosters.
Do I recall correctly a CJ Group 4 Final, Franklin vs. a pretty good Middletown South team (a Benbrook (sp) their star?) and you guys and Roy had a pretty good game? One of the first times I read about Roy. When he ended up at Rutgers he became one of my (and everyone's) favorites. He had a game once at the RAC for the ages against WVU that I saw in person. WVU is never a bunch of shrinking violets...they wanted no part of Hinson. Great memories...GO RU!

I think Pike will give him keys to work on his offensive skills in games, if he comes back.
Was obvious, Cliff wasnt ready to make that next step on the offensive side. Even he realized, thats why he stopped taking 3pointers towards end of the season.
I think he comes back. I think he will look at future than 1 year of making money.
He comes back and has chance to be DPOY. Make 1st team B1G. If he can develop his short/mid jumpers, he will contend for B!G POY. It doesn't take a genius to see all that possibility and he/Pike will see it.
Cliff will have so much more space to work with. Cam, Gavin and Simpson will spread the floor out big time

If Reiber stays he has no minutes, already didn’t see the floor at the Big tournament, there are simply no minutes for him next year. If he wants to play he leaves
TJD is going to struggle more than expected.
He's a 6'9" center (is he actually shorter?)
I obviously haven't watched him alot outside against RU and in BTT but he appears to have zero shooting ability or inclination. He didn't attempt a 3 all year.
The space in the paint is going to get small real quick in the NBA.

He's positionless in the NBA can play any position...except 5 probably..He can handle shoot or drive.
Thats just just part of it...defending the perimeter...if he can't score with short jumper or inside moves, he won't see the light of day.

Do you even watch NBA games? Mitch Robinson can't hit an open shot from beyond a layup and is shooting 50% from the line on a playoff team. If you are a superior defender and a rim protector you can be an NBA center. This is not to say Cliff will definitely make it in the NBA but the athletic building blocks are there for at least the G-League.

I don’t know the trigger act, but they scrapped in the first two rows of section 118 on the team RU bench side. I was in either the 3rd or 4th row.
Cliff seems checked out. Not sure about G league, maybe F league.
Cliff has bad hands. Cliff is often in the wrong spots defensively. Cliff doesn’t take good angles on pick and rolls. He’s not even close to NBA ready
Funny he took 2 short jumpers tonight and made both. Needs to be able to do that consistently....along with catching and just going up to dunk, shoot or rebound.

Meanwhile we saw Cliff hit a few different types of shots tonight. Think he only had one maybe two dunks but silence from all the he has no moves folks.
He is not going to make the NBA I am talking about TJD and Cliff is not even good enough for the G league
I think Cliff returns for another year. The way the year ended has to left a bitter taste in his mouth. And he needs another year to work on his low post moves, ball handling and outside shot. My gut tells me he stays to finish what he set out to accomplish--Big Ten championship and NCAA bid.

I hope NO ONE - current RU players, RU coaches, RU BB recruits - makes any decisions on their futures for a couple of weeks, a least...until the end of this season gets much smaller in everyone's rear view mirror. I hope everyone quickly lets the promise of the first part of the year come back into their memories. GO RU!!!
