Does Iowa beat us by double digits?

It’s a must win for Matt and the admin. Losing this and beating some lame team in a lame bowl game won’t sit well with most fans. if he can go 9-4, even if it’s a very soft 9-4, then Rhule and the Nebraska admin can keep the con on.
"Keep the con on"
Love it.. In the simplest terms, that's all Matt Rhule and Staff are trying to do.

I'm not confident. In typical Iowa fashion they will slowly wear us out running counter plays and QB keepers and then hit a play action pass or two. It's the way you have to play in November in the Midwest expecially if you're a mid-level Big Ten Team (NU). I hope we line up with 3 tight ends and a full back on occasion, play field position and kick the field goal when we have the chance. I'm starting to wonder more about Rhule and if he has good judgement not just in game decisions but in coaching hires when players are looking more confused then ever, after 11 games?

You’re assuming that we win the bowl game? If we lose to Iowa, we’ll likely go to the Las Vegas Bowl and play either Utah or Arizona State.

His point is correct. Since Iowa’s last 7 win season (2014), they average 9.3 wins a season. Not counting this year and the Covid year (6-2). They can still get to 9 wins this season with its toughest schedule in a long *** time. So yes, that narrative is old and out dated.
and yet those number always equate to losing to ranked teams while beating lesser teams. Definately been your toughest schedule in ages!

Good lord, now we are just counting the last 7 seasons but not all those seasons, just some of them.

If you have that many * next to how you count up a a record...you suck. It is that simple. And it is okay to admit that.

You created an amazing argument for a coach with more losses than anyone in the history of the conference.
Iowa only likes to tweek the number to what works for them. only the seasons they want to count matters, anything not in that realm doesn't count.

You guys gonna evaluate where you are as a program after this is over?

You guys going to hand out team rings again like in 2015 when you had nothing to show for the season…other than a nationally televised 30 point loss to Stamford in the Rose Bowl?

Iowa is “Participation Trophy U”

Even beating some lame team in a bowl game seems out of reach for stubble gummybear

Iowa is tough, but I think we beat them. Iowa is favored by 5 in the early line, but I bet that line goes down. I think we pull out all of the stops and come out super focused. The only thing that makes me nervous is that Iowa is like Penn State and it's not a good match up for us. They are physical, tough and they run the ball well.
the only thing that makes you nervous is the most important factor in winning football (physical, tough, can run the ball)?

gee, what a relief

You play this game 10 times and we lose 9 of those games but not all 10, let's hope this is the one game out of 10 we win. ;)
