I know that anything you don't like to hear is fake news but the deal came after weeks of intensive negotiations mediated by the United States, Qatar, and Egypt. A key aspect of the agreement was that its implementation would primarily fall to the incoming Trump administration, with coordination taking place between the two teams. And since it culminated five days before Trump took office, the Israelis decided to stall and wait for Trump to further nrgotiations, which then fell apart.
