Regarding the quarter thing, I've heard that said about a lot of people but I've never actually seen it. There was a guy that played at Memphis named Michael Wilson who was in the Guiness Book of World Records for highest vertical leap and he went on to play for the Harlem Globetrotters, and even he couldn't do that.I remember hearing before the '96 season that he could grab a quarter off the top of the backboard. Pretty sure he hit is head on the rim in a couple of games that season.
He later got his graduate degree in aeronautical engineering with Vick Ballard.*Interestingly enough, 32 was also the number of credit hours he passed at NEMCC the summer before coming to State.
You left out the best part I always heard about players that had such leaping ability as they could make change for the quarterI remember hearing before the '96 season that he could grab a quarter off the top of the backboard. Pretty sure he hit is head on the rim in a couple of games that season.
Seems like a pretty difficult thing to prove, even if you could do it. How long would it take to put the 17ing thing there in the first place?I remember hearing before the '96 season that he could grab a quarter off the top of the backboard. Imagine students camping overnight outside the hump for tix now. Electronic tickets will never feel as good as walking out of there excited that you had gotten your ticket. Great times! That was a good year to be a student and a State basketball fan.

I don’t think its common to just leave ladders laying around basketball practice facilities and arenas for shíts and gigs. That was kind of my point. Not to mention that for that height, you’d need an extension ladder and not a common A-frame.Seems pretty easy to prove.
use a ladder to put a quarter there
video a guy jumping up and taking it down
He was in my freshman dorm hathorn. He got there two weeks late and never appeared again after that.
Remember for 1 season everybody in youth basketball was wearing those high calf white socks
If I could grab quarters off the top of the back board, It would be really really easy for me to get a ladder, set it up and video it. REALLY REALLY EASY.I don’t think its common to just leave ladders laying around basketball practice facilities and arenas for shíts and gigs. That was kind of my point. I knew the one “professor” (is that a knock on community college versus an international grad student teacher?) who stood her ground and brought the system down. She passed away last fall. Suffice it to say, she won her suit quickly, but should have received so much more. The corruption was pervasive and evil.Interesting to note that almost all of the “professors” at northeast at the time ended up convicted of felonies or found on the side of the road dead from drug overdoses.
The subsequent teacher overdose deaths and teachers convicted of felonies were completely unrelated to Dontae Jones. I was just reinforcing the fact that 9 times out of 10 nemcc hired shittay “instructors” and that was made obvious by the downfalls.I was/am a family friend with the one “professor” (is that a knock on community college versus an international grad student teacher?) that stood her ground and brought the system down. I’ll have to do some research. News to me. I’d say the statistics were/are likely closer to 2 out of 10 and statistically comparable to anything hired at a university. I’d argue MS Comm. College education as part of an individual pursuing a subsequent bachelor’s degree is second to none. I realize there are huge discrepancies between those colleges within the State. The subsequent teacher overdose deaths and teachers convicted of felonies were completely unrelated to Dontae Jones.
