I've got a hard time thinking that Dylan is swayed by NIL money. His family is so close - his mother is his assistant coach that I'm thinking that family wins at the end of the day. His mother will be a regular at the RAC to see him play - just like she did with RHJr.
Agreed. Very biased article.Take the article with a grain of salt. It was written with a Duke lean. Notice how it talked about if they get Harper, Duke would move to #2 in the composite ranking behind UNC. The article failed to mention Rutgers is #2 without a commitment from Harper. Also, the article was based on the NIL being the driving force. No mention of Harper's connection to Rutgers (brother) or how Harper's mother is a big factor. And let's not forget Rutgers has NIL to compete. The bottom line is you can't get mad because the author is writing to appease their fanbase.
Duke had Jayson Tatum show up for one of Dylan Harper’s games.I’d think the alumni in the NBA would be bigger than NIL for Harper
Lol. Yeah that’s turning it up to elevenDuke had Jayson Tatum show up for one of Dylan Harper’s games.
Won't stop the resident NIL pumper though.Take the article with a grain of salt. It was written with a Duke lean. Yep. With the internet everyone is a Pulitzer Prize journalistAgreed. Very biased article.
And you know this how?If we don’t find the NIL money, he’s not coming here. Plain and simple.
Maybe we can get Ron Harper Jr to go see him.Duke had Jayson Tatum show up for one of Dylan Harper’s games.

Cliff notes on his responses?Never know. Might not even be about NIL but just wanting to go to a more historic program. I’ve been a RH Senior follower for a while on Twitter and when he retweets articles about Dylan or comments on people where is Dylan going I just don’t get positive vibes about RU from the responses
Better not lose this recruit as it sends a terrible message to others thinking about Rutgers. If you need to you open up the NIL checkbook.
Mom is running the recruitment not Ron Sr. Richie has mentioned this more than once in the podcasts. You should give them a listen to stay abreast of these things.Never know. Another armchair expert with absolutely no inside info - Cant wait to revisit this silly post.If we don’t find the NIL money, he’s not coming here. Plain and simple.
No Duke fan would want to read that they are competing with Rutgers for a player and no Duke writer would write it. They might all know it.. but it is not something that would be talked about in public...Take the article with a grain of salt. It was written with a Duke lean. Don't try to use this logic on TOS...Those who comment about Rutgers lacking a chance to gain Harper's service due to NIL are clueless. The few times Richie has posted on the freeboard, he has mentioned Rutgers (basketball) is positioned well with NIL money. You don't have the #2 class without having access to NIL to obtain that level of talent.
Well, not sure how awed Dylan would be given HIS DAD had a long NBA career and won rings.Lol. Yeah that’s turning it up to eleven
Agreed and FIFYThe program has certainly improved.
Rebecca Lobo, in her hall of fame induction speech had a part about her coaching her daughter on some detail and her daughter saying that's not how coach D told her to do it. Lobo replied "Coach D is a 5'10" orthodontist".Well, not sure how awed Dylan would be given HIS DAD had a long NBA career and won rings.
Would suck to lose this kid because of NIL money as the article states.
His mom played basketball at the University of New Orleans. Unless she went to grad school here, she is not an alum.In the end Dylan , his mom and dad will figure it all out. At this time Rutgers has several things in its favor. Mom ( alum) and dad know the program, have an NBA son ( Ron Jr. a Rutgers grad)? Ace Bailey his close friend and 4 other top level players in 2023- 2024…Griffiths , Jamarcus Michaels , Lathan Somerville, and several portal kids. As the podcast mentioned if NIL $$$$ is the reason Rutgers will find it? Not sure I feel comfortable believing that.
I like his real name better... Hopefully he won't be offended if he sees the post...In the end Dylan , his mom and dad will figure it all out. At this time Rutgers has several things in its favor. Mostly to just Let Dylan do his own things when asked about when is he committing to insert team here etc. idk just seems like Dad thinks he should blaze a path on what Dylan wants himself is all, not feel the pressure of being a legacy per say. Not saying he isn’t a fan of that, just seems like RHSenior wants him to experience the recruiting process as a whole and take everything into account, not necessarily just go where his brother played etcCliff notes on his responses?
That’s cool I’ve listened to some here and there. I don’t follow mom on twitter and I only follow RHSenior cause I liked him as a basketball player and RHJ went here. I do highly doubt Mom is the only one involvedMom is running the recruitment not Ron Sr. Richie has mentioned this more than once in the podcasts. Who they hell is JaMarcus MichaelsI like his real name better... Hopefully he won't be offended if he sees the post...![]()
