Duke will host 2 NCHSAA FB Championships

The upgraded stadium will make this one of the two best for the games out of the current rotation along with Wake. Lets see if the Duke can assist and plan as well as Wake Forest or they are more in lines with UNC. Duke was X'd out previously because they were an absolutely terrible host and the stadium left a lot to be desired. UNC is behind State and Wake are light years ahead. Only issue at Wake is there are only two dressing rooms total. Not an issue if the games are spread out enough.
The last time Duke hosted was before Cutcliff arrived if I'm not mistaken. Should be run much better this time around!
The football staffs have basically nothing to do with the events. A lot of NCAA regulations involved with anything dealing with high schools and the university programs. The athletic department's facilities people and the SID office usually pitch in.
I sure hope the do a better job then they did in the past. I know they've upgraded but that was one sorry venue. I blame the NCHAA for this but one year they held 1A state championship game on Sunday afternoon and to make matters worse it was the Sunday before Christmas all because Duke eas playing a basketball game in Cameron on Saturday. I mean did it take all day Saturday and how much impact would a 1 A playoff game been on crowding. Seems like it would have been good or to have the tv cameras South to a look what's going on at Wallace Wade. But everything about Duke hosting was terrible, concessions, bathrooms etc

The two games were two weeks before Christmas on December 7th. The previous day Duke hosted St Johns. Duke would have games for another few years.
In 2008 UNC moved the 4AA game to Sunday. They had graduation and a basketball game that Saturday.
Football staff has little to do with the games. SID and facilities staff handle the games.
