Only positives from the first half are Ace and the fact we are miraculously only down 6. We can certainly come back and win but everyone not named Ace will need to wake up. That includes Dylan who really did not have a good half.
Rutgers is making it so easy to play defense against us by walking ball up and not advancing ball towards basket
Played awful outside of ace and only down 6. With that said, our season is effectively over if we dont come out and flip the switch this second half.

People forget Pike's seat should've been hot after last season. But he was given a pass because Ace and Dylan were coming in.

We only forced 3 TOs against a team that averages 15 TOs. Pike is playing right into Sha’s hands by NOT pressuring the ball. Letting SHU run off 25 seconds on every possession, and not trying to force TOs.
And on offense, all we do is dribble, and then dribble some more. RUN A FVCKING SET TO GET SOMEBODY OPEN FOR A THREE.

We are being outcoached. Again. I will say it again - pike is not not not a good coach. When will people realize it?

Unplayable pike should be fired for putting him on the court forget about starting him. Gives you nothing on either end
By flipping a switch i mainly mean
1) stop turning the ball over
2) communicate in defense so you know who youre guarding
3) look just half organized on offense in the half court
4) make 70% of free throws
The only positive… is that by some miracle we are only down 6 pts.
The negatives are… too many to even name. But a few really stick out:
1) most of the team looks like they don’t even want to be playing (including Dylan, who has weird body language and is getting cookied every time he drives somehow?)
2) we have one reliable shooter (Hayes) and he never shoots
3) we have many unreliable shooters and they seem to have no hesitation in launching it from Canarsie
4) we are getting completely bitched around
5) we need to get mad. We need to feel something. It doesn’t really appear anyone is perturbed, at all, by what just happened
6) this is Ace Bailey’s chance to own this team. He can get fired up in the lockerroom and use any leadership he’s got inside of him to say “my boys jump on my back and I’ll carry us to freedom today —- all we need from you is to exhaust every ounce of yourselves in this second half. I want you to be like scarlet banshees on D and the boards I’ll drop buckets and find yall open and bring this one home”

this is what a@m did as well. easier to do when there is minimal ball movement and they can load up the paint

If you ever wondered what RU would look like if one of Ace or Dylan wasn't able to carry them; you are finding out today. Dylan has been really bad in this one so far. I think he has as many turnovers as points if not more.
Ogbole needs to play 15 minutes in the second half, Lathan cannot defend and is getting killed on the boards.
It would be nice if we had a concept of an offense, instead of 4 guards standing around the perimeter until one of them turns it over.

Have to actually Coach and run an offense to create space
Dylan has not been really bad. His coach does not have him prepared for SHU’s defense
"Only down 6" isn't too encouraging considering SHU is the worst team we play the rest of the season.

the problem is we have guys who can’t shoot taking them ( jordan who has no conscience) and in other games other guys. how about pj or acuff setting a screen or coming off a screen to open it up for them or someone else. if you have ace or dylan setting a screen for one of them do you think they’re leaving them ? no of course not , but alas we don’t ever do that
