At PagePirates44 fatigue factored in more so than you out played us which I undersrand is part of the game.

We couldn't rush the quarterback because that's all we had. We have three JV linemen who 8 quarter who I believe were injured. There was no one to sub in and hats off to Page for their resolve.

The way our defense responded for most of the night it's less than fair to suggest they suck it up when they were primarily the reason EF was in the game. That's actually more of the issue they were sucking it up for 4 quarters.

Since its documented that Page is also relatively young looks like we will be seeing games like last night for the next couple years.

EF will be fine. On to West Forsyth. They definitely won't be feeling sorry for us.

East was outplayed.. Page's defense for the most part out matched EF and the offense started grinding down East with physical play.
Page's offense is young too.. Rofles didn't have the luxury to give Soph. QB Paige time to develop on JVs. Was he ready this year? Probably not, just like the two players you say EF has coming up. But he's growing up fast and i think is already ahead of the curve when it comes to underclassman QBs.
Page's offense is awful as well as East's this year. Neither of these teams will go far in the playoffs this year from what I saw last night. Page will go maybe a round further just cause their conference is very weak and they will win out.

While EF's offense wasn't amazing by any means (Page's defense played a big part in that), Page did show they could actually move the ball and score. I wouldn't say Page's offense is awful (that sounds like sour grapes), the QB is young and made some very coachable/correctable mistakes against the solid defense that EF has.

What are you talking about Sour grapes? I said East Forsyth was going to finish 3rd at best in their conference in preseason from losing so many weapons from last years team. I'm not an East Forsyth homer like some in this thread but do follow their program. Fact is your QB at Page and your offense was REALLY bad! Yes, the EF defense did do somethings but your QB missed WIDE open WRs all night. He maybe completed 8 passes all night and I think Page threw the ball 30 times. The last drive was more East falling a part not the young QB taking them down the field. EF had a personal foul on their sideline for taunting that would've put Page in 3rd and long. That same DB #10 got beat a few plays later on the long pass. Then the EF defender hit the QB really late giving Page 15 more yards. I was right at the Goal line and your QB fumbled the ball on the spike to kill the clock. Why is nobody talking about that play? The East defender came up with the ball and the refs said it was Page ball. Really, Page got lucky the refs said you recovered it cause it was clear from the 10 yard line on the Page side that it was a fumble recovered by DE #7 for East. I wonder if anyone has film on it cause I thought if the defender got up with the ball in his hands it belonged to the defense? It was clear that's what the refs called it cause they ran the clock and made Page take their last timeout.

East player had the ball. Ref just had to verify he had it and by the time he could get to it a Page player had gotten his hands on it too at the bottom of the pile. Ref called it simultaneous possession which goes to the offense. Pretty important call.

I disagree that neitger team can go that far. 4a doesn't seem as deep as usual to me.

As a West Forsyth fan, I’d like to see them go 0-2 vs the “Gauntlet” East has won the last 2 games, KJ Henry & Company haven’t beat them since 2014 but East doesn’t have the explosive players on offense compared to the past but they have a a good QB & a stout defense. West seems to have found a true gem in RB G’Mone Wilson who started the season as 3rd string behind Marcus Caldwell & Matt Duke. Wilson went for 197yds Fri. Night. McMILLION is killing teams on both sides of the ball. It should be a great game that could go either way.

To begin with we shouldn't have been in position to allow a call or noncall (fumble and or officials) to determine the game for us.

Sometimes you have to tip your hat to the opposing team who adjusted and wore down a good defense. To diminish Page would be to also diminish the caliber team EF lost to.

I said this would be the toughest game of the 3. I don't believe West defense is anymore stout than Page and anyone who still believes we're losing to Glenn I need some of what they're smoking.

Man! We lose a 1 point game to a very good defensive Page team that will grow offensively and by right we should've won and now we're back to finishing 3rd and at best a 1st round loss. Lol

I'll take the law of averages. Up until the last 2 years we've beaten Page 5 years in a row. Glenn hasn't beaten us since Obama was campaigning in 07. This QB extraordinaire who we've seen is 0-3 against us 45-14, 42-0 and 62-24 respectively. Where's the defense coming from? They haven't scored a lot on our defense with him in 3 seasons and it won't change this year. They're still Glenn to us until otherwise proven.

Tarheel had it right. 4A is down this year. It could very well be a toss up. EF QB is pedestrian. I'd take Pages qb who could also beat you with his feet but younger. I'd be surprised if we aren't in the third round. If our qb play picks up or someone could step up we could make a run this year possibly.

I will disagree with you on the QB play being bad Veejay4. I saw the QB last year and this year a couple times. He was awesome last year with an Oline that could protect and WR's that could beat 1 on 1 coverage and run clean routes. The problem with the East offense has been the play of the WR's and the Offensive Line. No QB would have been able to do anything as bad as the East offensive line played against Page. I really think Bullins would be ok if he could get some help from the others on at the RB, OL, and WR positions. Those players at other positions really need to step up if East is going to have a snowball chance in hell against West this week.

That's the thing though, Page has made every QB they've played this year run for their lives. The defensive front 7 is outstanding. Theyve held mostly everyone to negative rushing yards.

Meet former 3rd string Soph RB (late August) to current star-ter for West Forsyth: another weapon.. RB G’Mone Wilson who went for 197yds vs NorthWest Guilford.... gotta love that last play at the 1:42 part of the video. Dude has a quick stop & go, then turns on the jets. Break Away Speed.
It’s 4 more different game videos after this 2min video of G’Mone Wilson that play back to back to back. Multiple TD’s & physical Running

Warhead1 its some merit to what you said. Okay ill use pedestrian at best. He's not what I consider a good qb though but serviceable. We have playmakers at receiver just young guys that haven't come around yet.

We've seen that type of running back already with the kid from Sanderson remember the NC State recruit. Not concerned about being ran on like Page did us. West will help us by being more finesse and less physical than Page and besides I don't believe their qb can hurt us with the feet like Pages qb did. One less element to concern ourselves with.

We'll need to play 4 quarters to get West but we've been picked to lose against West in the past so nothing new here. West D maybe somewhat bigger but I don't think they're nearly as physical. We'll see.

I just feel West plays into East (our) hands and I'll be the first to admit it if somehow West takes us to the woodshed. I was wishing for 3-0 but realistically thought 2-1. Hope I'm right.

Hats off to West. Totally dominated us in all 3 phases. If we play next Friday like we did tonight Glenn will end the streak next Friday. 0-2. Didn't see this coming. Haven't lost back to back games in a while. Gotta regroup.

That West Forsyth sophmore RB G’Mone Wilson’s rushing attack was too much, he’s so close to 1000yds in 5 games. A Soph Star is born and West is blessed to have him(160yds 17 carries 2 TD’s). Mack Duke 95 yds as well...The game was not as close score. “The Gauntlet is tough”

Listened on the radio at work tonight. Didn't sound like I missed much. Did keep hearing Wilson kids name most of night. Apparently as good as advertised.

We have to reach down now mentally and be careful not to let the season get away from us. Glenn game will be our season next week. Never thought I'd be saying that.

Game is extra huge more so for us (EF) than Glenn except that it gets Glenn off the schnyde against us.
