Proud of our men and especially our Seniors who have gave our program everything they have over the years. God's still good. Rather be a Cardinal than anything else I know. Lord willing, we'll get a shot at the big dogs next year!!

Wow, somewhat surprised by this. I thought East would give the Golden Lions a better game than this. Clearly, Shelby is on a mission.

As I've stated before, Shelby is just on a different level than any other 2A team this year.

Go ahead and call me dumb. I’ll admit it. I went to the game tonight. Took my 9 year old daughter. She loved it. So I will not say I regret it, but when it got 14-0 she said. “ dad it feels like the game is over” . 5 min later it was 39-0. We left. Just thankful to have a sidekick to make the road trip with me on a great Friday night

I watched the WR-Hill Princeton game and listened to Shelby lol. I think Shelby will win over WR by 14. I've seen Shelby play too this year. they have way more speed.

Probably so, wanted to see east surry mainly bc I haven’t seen them in person. Was out of town last 2 times they played. Plus gave my daughter time to watch a movie each way

Congrats to our Golden Lions for a great win tonight. This team has improved leaps and bounds through the playoffs. I will go on record as saying the 2nd quarter tonight was the best all around quarter every played by a Shelby team. When you out score a 14 and 0 team 39 to 0 that is just incredible. Great job by the coaches through out the playoffs.

He came in and went from a 4-3 to a 3-4 defense, which is normally hardest for high school kids to run.
With the defensive front we had should have stayed in 4-3 or 5 man front.
Even fans knew it was a mistake.
Pretty much gave up major yrds in every game but 1, in playoffs against Walker town we went back to 4-3 and played great D.
Then next week played Hendo and back to 3-4...
This year, been 4-3. And some 6 man front

Our 1 year DC (from Crest) did not use the personnel he had the way he should have. We basically have the same defensive personnel this year that we had last year. Look what we're doing using them the right way.

I had a feeling when I walked by the ES team that it was going south quick before kickoff because they thought it was over before it started. Idk if they were backups or starters but they didn’t seem confident at all. One trainer said” just don’t get hurt too bad”. Maybe it was her boyfriend idk. Just didn’t a good vibe. The fans behind me along with some Maiden fans were already saying it was over after the missed FG. I’m thinking at least it’s still 0-0. The ES fans said hopefully they have to play Reidsville next year in playoffs. But I said I don’t think that will go too well regardless of who you play next season. Rams or the Lions. They both will be back and loaded

If y’all lose the 2 DE to graduation I’m not sure the line will be as dominant next season in a 4-3 but probably still be really good. 3-4 may work next year. But with this squad a 4-3 or 5-2 is way to go. Especially against WRH next week

Dudley is beating South Point by a few TD's right now. Shelby and Dudley would be a better game looks like.

I made the suggestion on another board the other day but nobody bought the idea. We could have worn the Lions unis and they ours and no one would have known the difference until ball play began. Both games would have been more interesting.

We have been talking over several boards about how good both Shelby and Dudley are.

So how about South Point plays East Surry at the Shelby stadium and the Golden Lions come to D-town to play this week?

Match up nightmare for ES all the way around...

No one ever said that East Surry did not deserve to be here. East Surry has the background in the 1A level and now the 2A level. If you can beat Shelby this year, you will have passed a major milestone. However, Shelby has a lot more clout among 2A and 3A board members - mainly because of their deep football history and the spankings they have delivered to 3A teams who have competed for their division titles.
