I think there was blue smoke, a breakaway banner and fireworks. If they have a motorcycle guy too, then someone got too happy at the gimmick table.
Shotgun with either two backs right beside the QB and a wing or one back right beside the QB and two wings.
I will offer my respectful opinion on this game. I will call it the year of the QB. This year Tarboro has seen good and great QBs early and often this season. Although scores dont reflect. Riverside, SWE, South Stanly, North Stanly all had what I thought were better QBs than Tarboro saw all of last year. Tarboro has also seen some outstanding RB's especially from North Stanly who I thought were very prepared, fast and disciplined. Edenton runs their offense just as well as Tarboro runs theirs. With that said however I feel strongly that Tarboro will be way to much for Edenton this year. This Tarboro team is just as good if not maybe a step better than last years team. Not taking away from Edentons RBs but Tarboro in my opinion is truly a powerhouse that could easily compete in 2A and 3A and maybe even against weaker 4A schools. I will say Tarboro 48- Edenton 14
Carries are at a premium in Tarboro. Stanley would be earning his touches just like everyone else.

That season for us was amazing. You win 5 playoff games by a combined 18 points en route to a 2A championship...that was quite a ride!

Apparently so. They actually brought the motorcycle guy (with an Edenton Aces design on the bike) down when they played us my senior year and proceeded to ride the bike out on our field leading the team out...in addition to them chanting "Who's House...Our House".
Needless to say, we broke the school record in scoring that night which hasn't been touched since haha
But much respect to the Aces. Definitely pulling for them!

Tarboro may well win big but you do know the definition of overrated don’t you? Kinda hard to be overrated when most polls and computer models have the Aces as the 2nd to 4th best team in 1A and there are only 4 teams left in 1AA.
I love how people say Edenton is overrated when they’ve been playing in the 4th round the past 3 seasons.....maybe just jealous their teams are at home I guess.
Thank you. If people would say “there is such a large gap between Tarboro and the rest of the field I just don’t see how this one is going to be close” I could live with that.
I said in August it was Tarboro and everybody else. The only challenge Tarboro faced was if they could set a record for the least amount of points given up in a single season. Not sure where they stand on this but after tonight if they keep the "0" they'll have a great shot at three straight shutouts. East Surry won't score on them in the title game.
Congratulations to the Tarboro Vikings and their fans and posters. Once again the clearly better team won. Wish we could have given you a better game. I think Tarboro may be better than last year. Best of luck next week.
