Liverpool are 11 points clear with seven games left. Arsenal have the easier run in though, and we are playing without a healthy RB. The best news today is Salah extended his contract by two years, he is getting old for his position, but this has been perhaps his best year of his career. I’d say a two year extension is an excellent risk for the club. It looks like Van Dyke is going to sign as well. He has slipped a bit for sure, but you can effectively play into your late 30s as a CB, and he is still perhaps the best in the world there. It looks like TAA is going to Madrid. It sucks it’s on a free, but he ain’t all that at his position, he is a DEFENDER after all. He is FANTASTIC going forward….but he is a DEFENDER. He is at best average at that. Should have sold him last year.

Of course you like soccer
Since I was a kid watching Soccer Made in Germany on whatever MPB was back then. No politics involved, I was just a kid that liked to watch the sport. That's still what it is with me all these years later. It was something of a journey to becoming a fanatic Liverpool fan...Robbie Fowler was my man. I pity you folks that have to view EVERYTHING through politics. You must be absolutely miserable. Still that's your choice. I'm going to enjoy the life I have left.

Liverpool has looked shaky at times and Arsenal just dominated Madrid the other day. Hoping Liverpool has enough to hold on and win the title.

What in the wide world of sports???
Are you trying to force your own thread into a political one? I guess I missed where Attala brought politics into this.

Arsenal winning the Champions League should be their main goal. They dropped too many points in the Fall and the injuries have made the Premier League a long shot
Yeah. Premier League race is over. Good to see Salah finally sign. Need to keep VVD, get a CB, a RB & a real striker this summer & Liverpool will be in good shape next year.

Nobody is viewing this through politics. Why are you the way that you are? I hate so much about the things you choose to say.

Arsenal getting back to full strength and adding a competent 9 should make them favorites for next year

I agree. I think the goal for Liverpool next year is to make the top 4. It'll be a bit of a down year. Of course, all depending on what happens in transfer market.

They need a left back worse than another CB....unless VVD leaves.

Yeah, Robertson is aging fast. But I'm not impressed with any of the guys that have tried to take the 2nd CB spot. One thing for sure, this year is the last hurrah for the current group as it is. Got to bring in some new younger players over about a 2-3 year time frame.

For sure. Arsenal just drew with Brentford. Liverpool need 9 points.

6 points with 6 games left. The second half was ugly, but who cares.
Ugly is an understatement. But when they gave up the stupid own goal they turned the intensity back on & got the winner in just a couple of minutes. Last month of Premier League will be pretty boring except for Champions league spots. Champion & relegation teams are all but decided.

Declan Rice is not a RAT but those free kick goals…
He was kind of a RAT. Those we’re incredible.

BTW, I just checked the France League 1 table. PSG is an incredible 23 points clear of #2. That’s more than Liverpool is clear of # 7 in the Premier League.

I don't even know the rules for soccer. I had to click on the title just to figure out what EPL was. NIL has ruined everything for me I guess.

Yeah. But it’s the best chance they’ve got. Real Madrid was a tough out too & Arsenal made it look easy.
Madrid are not doing that well down the stretch. PSG are playing like a house afire. I don't think Arsenal is good enough to take them. I hope I'm wrong. I don't have anything against the Gooners. I don't like clubs like PSG.

I'm always skeptical about PSG because their league is so weak. And yeah, I know they beat Liverpool, but that was a 2-week stretch when Liverpool wasn't playing well in either Champions League or Premier League. Really for both teams, it just depends on which team shows up. Good Arsenal is a team that can beat anybody. Bad Arsenal is a team that can draw vs Everton, Brentford and Crystal Palace.

Arsenal have dropped 18 points from a winning position this season. The last 2 seasons combined they only dropped 17

They beat Villa too. I agree on the French League, but PSG has Manchester City level money. They have a LOT of talent. Arsenal needs to revamp their attack. They need to bring in some people up front.

Wow, Jamie Vardy is leaving Leicester City, and he is NOT retiring. I never thought I’d see that. The year they won the league….most amazing thing I have ever seen in sports.

He's 38 years old. He's had a great career. But he should have retired last year.

Probably, but he would still be decent in the Championship I think. It will be interesting to see where he lands.

I've enjoyed the PL more this season. Even Crystal Palace vs. Arsenal was fun to watch this week.

Yes... There is NOTHING on TV.

For all the talk about how weak the Premier Legue is this year, it's probably the strongest league ever. Arsenal is 13 points back and in the Champions League semi-finals. Manchester City is 14th and Tottenham is 16th, both are in the Europa League semi-finals. And #6 Chelsea is in the Conference League semi-finals. There are 17 legitimately strong teams in the Premier League this year. Tough year for the 3 promoted teams, who all got badly relegated.

Liverpool's point total is not going to be anywhere near the lowest for a winner either, unless they totally tank.

Not EPL…yet. Wrexham did it again. Three straight promotions. That had never been done in the English leagues till now. The next step is considerably harder. The Championship is full of ex-EPL teams who have been there and done that.
