Not EPL…yet. Wrexham did it again. Three straight promotions. That had never been done in the English leagues till now. The next step is considerably harder. The Championship is full of ex-EPL teams who have been there and done that.
Saw that. I think they’ve hit their ceiling though. The Championship is a whole different ballgame than Leagues One & Two. Here’s to Liverpool winning the title tomorrow. Everyone just assuming it will happen tomorrow, but on their day Tottenham could win.

They beat Villa too. I agree on the French League, but PSG has Manchester City level money. They have a LOT of talent. Arsenal needs to revamp their attack. They need to bring in some people up front.
Arsenal 0 PSG 1 @ the Emirates. Not insurmountable, but very tough to overcome on the road.

Watching in 2nd half now. What a wild game. Arsenal lucky not to go down 2-0 early when an obvious penalty wasn’t given. Then PSG withstood massive pressure the last 60 minutes. Not many goals but a lot of fast break soccer action & really good saves.

The part during the celebration where several players start dancing with the ball boys was awesome. Those kids are Liverpool Academy players. Hopefully several of those boys can return the favor to the next generation in a few years!

They better be ready real soon

Real Madrid’s about to get one of the former Academy players…

I’m often reminded of the insanity of soccer fans compared to us. Arsenal spent a decade of irrelevance in the wilderness before Arteta but fans want him gone because he’s going to finish 2nd again and might not get them to their second ever UCL Final

Yeah if anyone thinks "fire the coach" culture is bad in college football, it's nothing compared to soccer. There's been clubs go through 3 managers in a season. Wild.

Bradley is a better defender than TAA. TAA is better going forward. They both play right back. This was already discussed in this thread by the way.

It’s a strange mentality over there. It’s like Ricky Bobby said, if you ain’t first you’re last. Finishing 2nd is seen as a failure.

Not to every club, or every year. It depends on stature and expectations.

Tottenham fan here, and our season matches up with pretty much all of State athletics this year.
And yet, either you or Manchester United will probably win Europa League & play in Champions League next year. At 15th & 16th in the league standings. And they say this Premier League is weak.

Definitely excited about Europa league! IF we win Europa and make Champions League, it will be interesting to see what happens with Ange at the end of the season. We started out the season strong, but early injuries showed the lack of depth in our first team. And now Maddison out with a knee injury when we really need the midfield. The hits keep coming!

Could be , and probably will be, 6 Premier League teams in Champions League next year. And even then a couple of pretty good teams will get left out.

PSG 3 Arsenal 1 after both legs. I was going to pull for Arsenal till Arsenal's manager starting dissing Liverpool's title. I guess he didn't notice that we had more points than they did last year at the same stage when we clinched. Good riddance, glad they lost.

The champions league race is tight. Massive game for my Newcastle against Chelsea this weekend. We had chances to all but seal a spot and got thrashed by Villa then drew Brighton. Newcastle has a lot riding on champions league qualification in terms of whether we're going to have to potentially sell stars (Isak) vs being able to strengthen and actually begin to try to improve the depth of our roster.

It’s pretty tight, but Nottingham Forest is fading fast. Aston Villa may grab the last spot. But you got to think Arsenal & Man City will get 2 of the 4 spots in play. Plus the Chelsea/Newcastle winner. But I think they’re both probably in regardless.

Whoever finished 6th & goes to the conference league next year is gonna dominate it like Chelsea is this year. Not enough CL & Europa spots for top England clubs.
