Yeah, but they didn't even do anything about it until after everyone started piling on about it. They even reran that program later that day without editing the comments out. Just another example of how low ESPN has sunk in the last 10 years.

RG 3 has rapidly become my favorite NFL player.

There is absolutely nothing to dislike about the guy. Attacking him like this douchebag did is akin to kicking a kitten. Just wish he was a 49er instead.

I had to look it up.

Here's a story on it for anyone else who doesn't know.

Parker's an *******. There is nothing not to like about Griffin. And his personal life choices are just that.

Getting fired off of that First Take Show

or whatever they call it is a feat unto itself. You have to sink to a new considering that Skip Bayless is on that show.

The only link I had when I originally posted was a video that was linked through the Knology news web site. I wasn't sure if it would work, plus I think most people don't like to watch or listen to videos ... or at least I don't.

What a 17ing dipshit.

Yeah, lets throw mud at a kid, who is an amazingly gifted athlete that graduated from college in 3 years with a degree in political science while maintaining a 3.7 GPA and worked towards his masters while winning the Heisman Trophy, and was raised in a two parent household led by a father who served our country and fought his way out of the Desire Project of New Orleans...good call moron.

Enjoy unemployment ******* all because you thought RG III wasn't advancing "the cause"...

We are so squeamish when discussing race. Here's a guy who opens up about what many in the black community think about who is and isn't black enough based on their behavior, family background, academic success, etc and he gets silenced. It could have opened up a genuine conversation, as opposed to a monologue, about race and expectations and all sorts of issues that might prompt intelligent, reasoned opinions. But, because so many Americans get offended at the slightest comment, ESPN decides to make sure something like this doesn't happen again. Parker could have been challenged on his stereotypical views of African Americans but I guess now he'll just have to apologize to get his gig back.

Any of you oldtimers remember Cedric "Cornbread" Maxwell

Still possibly the funniest political statement by a pro athlete ever

In 1984, when Cedric ‘Cornbread’ Maxwell of the Celtics, a North Carolinian, endorsed Jesse Helms for re-election. Some reporter said, Cornbread, do you realize you might be the only black man in North Carolina voting for Helms? Maxwell replied, “Most of the brothers don’t make the kind of scratch I do.”

He basically left Stephen A. Smith speechless.

Which pretty much means your either fired or promoted to president of the universe.

Coverage of the newest senator from the Carolina's should be interesting along the same lines as RG3 as well.
