I forgot who it was, maybe Pat Forde, but someone did an article for ESPN comparing Hasheem Thabeet earlier in the year to the other candidates for player of the year when Hasheem's stock was really rising. Whoever did the article then made the comparison between Thabeet and Varnado and said that if you are going to include Thabeet in the MVP discussion you have to include Jarvis because the numbers were so similar. It was more of a thing showing the type of players you bring into the MVP discussion when you start looking at one statistical category for a guy instead of the entire body of work. Defensively, Thabeet is great, but his offense is not good, which shouldnt have made him an MVP candidate, which is what the article was saying.
I agree that Thabeet is deserving, I just happen to think that Jarvis is more deserving than Thabeet is.
