You guys kill me...if this is true some of you wanna blame Barnhart....like he is supposed to know his footbsll coach would do something like this...cmon
so, it's ok for him to not hire people because they'd do something like this. but you can't hold him accountable when people do something like this. is that about right?

Petrino already had done it....that was fact...Stoops had no history of this
The irony of Kentucky football, truth is Petrino you would think would be the one to keep his nose clean as he was down to his last chance. I know when he was in bg that he was at a restaurant to meet someone on business that was a woman and she said follow me to her table in the back and he refused to go without the other people meeting them there because of how it would look. That is how careful Petrino is.

We didn't hire Petrino for the 2 weeks of bad press we would have received.

Herald Leader has announced Sunday paper will be delayed because of UK football. Have they ever done this for a late game. Did they do this for Southern Miss? Or are they expecting another story after the game?

Delivered papers with my dad when I was young. Final 4 and title games would delay run, its possible with them moving the printing to L'ville deadline jumped up a few hours and so late run happens more often than before. But that's a theory, a rumor if you will. Feel free to ignore it and press charges.

If what I'm hearing is true, then UK isn't going to have worry about paying the buyout.

What I don't get, is what a win or a loss against South Carolina has to do with anything. If it's true, Stoops should be fired immediately.

This really blows my mind.

A win or a loss against SC will not matter at this point.

.......Elliot falls on his sword for Stoops......or Stoops resigns because he won't let Elliott be the sacrificial lamb..........

Does anyone think Barney is smart enough that Stoops contract has any out for UK? I bet it states he can not be fired for any reason including killing the program.

I would imagine Barney's decisions are being made for him.

I wouldn't mind if Eliot took a demotion, stuck around and replaced Brumbaugh. He coached those great DEs at Fla St.

Yeah, like The Firm by John Grisham. Maybe not Barney but I could see a booster doing it. There is a lot of money and a whole program at stake. I hate to say it but people are desperate at this point.

put the firm on his ***.

Hmm. Interesting. Met a lawyer from Lexington last week. Not necessarily in the know but is around conversations enough to pick up on things. Won't say what he told me that was surprising - nothing more than rank gossip far as I can tell - but he ended with a prediction of sorts. He said the buy-out wouldn't really be an issue, that if UK wanted to get rid of Stoops, pretty soon you'd start hearing rumors (to increase our leverage and decrease his, reducing the $12 million by some or a lot, depending). And here we are.....

Wow. If these rumors are true then it won't matter what happens in the SC game. I also don't see how Mitch survives. First he hires BCG, an abusive drunk, and now this?

What is on the Tennessee board is what I heard except I heard it wasn't a student rather an employee of the University.

Also heard Stoops is gone and it's inevitable. Only a matter of time. Could even be as soon as next week.

Idk if it's true. Just saying what I heard. I wouldn't repeat if I didn't trust the source 100%

If this is true.. My guess is a resignation may be in line.

It actually kind of sounds like the players know that a decision regarding Stoops has already been made. Will he even be on the sideline tonight?
