I have to wonder with all the tweets that went around from some of the players if there wasn't some sort of team meeting. I'm thinking they all might know more than is being let on.

Yeah... "in times of need" is usually reserved for things more severe than wanting to win football games...... but who knows. maybe its just a coincidence??

I have to wonder why anyone wants a head coach that blatantly cheated at other schools including bigger programs than UK

Kiffin cheated at UT and reportly at USC (why he was fired on the Tarmac)

Butch Davis Cheated his arse off at Miami and UNC. Those guys would be cheating before the ink dried on the paper.

Schiano and Brohm would both be good choices but I'm guessing Neil Brown is the next head coach at UK. I think next year. Remember, he was hired as OC before Stoops was hired as head coach.

Davis was cleared of any violations at UNC by the NCAA. No different than a certain bball coach UK hired.

Its bad with crap like Peevy's tweet. There could be something there, or it could just be us looking for something. So an innocent line we distort to fill in what we are looking for. Not saying people want it to be true(some do), but it is a common thing. Just like when you notice a number, then you see it everywhere.

Maybe its best to just wait it out and stop looking for answers.... Nah, where's the fun in that?

Unless it involves a student or a bimbo he hired into the football offices that he takes for rides on his Harley and he just wrecked it with her on board and lied to his AD, I see no problem.

There is no "morals" clause in the contract. The only "for cause" prong that might be implicated by the rumored situation here is failure to follow written university policies. Not sure that would apply either.
Fraternizing with the school coeds is generally prohibited in coaching contracts. Hell, it's in my athletic administration contract and I'm a straight man working at an all-male school.

Coach should of just tried to knock up Betty White.... He'd then have many of us worshiping at his alter... Only a god gets to be with Betty White.

Given that Mitch is publicly affiliated with a large fundamentalist ministry and is on its board, I think if this were a problem it would have been dealt with. But .... I heard some mutterings from high-dollar boosters earlier in the year that I disregarded at the time.....that I will now try to flesh out.

If rumors are accurate (as I believe they likely are) then probably the reason nothing has happened is that negotiations are on going and close to a conclusion . Under this scenario, doubt he will get full buyout but will likely get 25-50% of what is owed. They will keep assistants on as long as they can to avoid additional 6 million owed.

Morals clause does not apply but University policies cannot be excluded from any University contract and thus at least form grounds for negotiation and compromise. Under current circumstances really no way they can keep him considering previous statements and policies and what has been precedent at other universities.

In my mind the only remaining question is how long Barnhart has been sitting on this situation and whether he brought Eli in on it the moment he became aware. If either or both have been sitting on it without informing Board of Trustees then additional dismissals could occur.

Things could get very interesting next week.

Davis was cleared of any violations at UNC by the NCAA. No different than a certain bball coach UK hired.
Derrick Rose allegedly cheated on his SAT in High School and Matcus Camby took money from an agent. UNC had 1,000's of athletes taking fake classes, unauthorized grade changes, papers written for them, and all kinds of academic fraud at UNC performed by UNC staffers. It's a lot different than a certain bballcoach UK hired.

BTW- Is it possible the players tweets were about the UK commit getting injured last night? Kinda fits in with Johnson's alleged tweet. Just throwing thoughts out there.

Alleged tweets:

Edwards deleted tweet: "wow I never seen this coming''

Johnson deleted tweet; "Can't believe this, This one is gonna hurt for a long time"
