On today's talk show UNITE, host Danny Kanell & Reese Waters were discussing their "Upset of the Week" segment. This week it's Bama & TMSU. Danny put forth a weak stance that we were #12 ranked and 7-0 and should give Bama a good game. Reese dismissed this argument and thought that we were overrated and basically a joke. By the end of the segment, Kanell was on board with Waters.

Dammit, dawgs, lets kick some Bama ***, its our time.

These were the same guys that were saying we had no chance against Tennessee...

Granted, this is a much larger hill to climb than Tennessee, but their objectivity is pretty poor on that show.

Agreed, but in all honesty, can you really blame them in this case? I believe that this team is really good. Maybe not #11 good, but I think we're easily a Top 20 team.

That said, would you truthfully not be saying the same thing about OM or basically any other school if their 7-0 record included 4 creampuffs and 3 wins over SEC teams with a combined 0-14 conference record?

I'm getting a little sick of the sneering too, but I understand why it's happening. Like you said, though, if we want to shut people up... the team has its chance tomorrow.

Yes, I can understand some of the talk. But like last night, Jesse Palmer saying Bray is better than Russell. But then says we haven't beaten anyone. Well, if Bray is so damn good..........

I was wishing like hell Willie Blade would have busted into that booth and Terry Tated the hair gel out of Palmer.

Couldn't have been said any better.

If we want to shut people up......well, I don't see it happening. I'm sorry, but I just "don't believe" we have the horses to run with Bama. I hope I'm so, so very wrong, but tomorrow night is more than likely gonna suck balls.

Mark May dismissed us a joke last night, making the point that the combined in-conference win total of our SEC opponents was "0". But look who Alabama has played, Ole Miss 0-4, Missouri 0-4, Tenn 0-4, Arkansas 2-2 (Ark has wins over KY and Auburn, the worst two teams in conference.) Their OOC schedule is nothing, except Michigan, who has lost to both ranked teams they've played. We will be by far the best team they have played all year, by a long shot. BRING IT ON.
