I keep seeing they are posting jobs for coaches. How in the world does Fairmont all of these positions to put coaches in when they are only a 2A school? Sure wish my vikings could hire some coaches. From what I hear, the Tornadoes are LOADED. Having Caulder back alone is scary.

Interested to see what Whiteville does offensively this year under Hutchinson. I am sure there will be some changes since Carr is out of the mix.

I still don't know what's going to be loaded more in the 2016 season.

1. the Gatorade
2. The staff
3. or the team itself
4. or possibly all of them

by no means am I being rude. I respect the Vikings.
I believe when you get to the third round you attract a certain amount of people. I believe when you have a program loaded with athletes you attract a certain amount of people. I believe when you have contacts you can attract a certain amount of people. I believe when you have a staff full of experience you attract a certain amount of people.

this has turned into a get-rich program

I really wish you all the best. I cannot be jealous because you all are building a program. We have athletes at WC, but will never get the chance to prove that on the football field because of the lack of commitment and the lack of people who want to coach our boys. Seems like the coaches we do have are only focused on baseball. Our baseball team can compete with the best of them, but we have people who are committed to the program. Its a frustrating situation because I know that we could be good in football too.

I do not think the Columbus County Coaching Supplements are very attractive either. I have heard that they are much, much less than those in surrounding counties like yalls and Bladens.

What Ball does your booster club support the most or give the most attention?
Is it equal across the board or is it about just baseball?

Baseball and our band get much attention than anything else. It is bad when our band is much more fun to watch than our football team.

Columbus County coaches for the most part make a great deal more than Robeson County coaches. I know what I make and I would make almost $2000 more for two sports (Football & Baseball) if I were working in Columbus County. So it is NOT THE PAY SCALE! CC gets paid on %, Robco flat dollar amount based upon years of experience.

Not sure what you are asking? Hard to believe a smaller county pays more, but it is based on percentages there. Our scale has not changed in years! Most here do it because they love it, but more pay would help with expenses concurred during the season as well as make it easier to spend our own money on the kids! (WHICH WE DO OFTEN)

Well Bo, Sonic is a resturant that serves burgers n shakes, specialty treats n snacks. It also is a hedgehog game. Just thought I would let the CC folks know we hear stuff too! Don't mean any of it is true, good or bad!
