Hi everyone, my name is Hossein Razzaghi and I'm the CEO of Fancred. As some have mentioned, I was raised in Starkville and I am a MSU graduate. We started Fancred because I believe there deserves to a be sports-only social network. In fact, if you consider all of the popular social networks that exist today, sports is the #1 type of content shared and discussed amongst their users. Fancred is meant to be a place where fans can recommend cool sports articles, videos, or pictures. Fancred is meant to be a place where fans can quickly share their thoughts and opinions about a game that's going on. And Fancred is meant to be a place where fans can discover and connect with other fans (and in many cases, fans of other teams). It's not meant to be a place where fans have long threads of back-and-forth discussion, game analysis, or X's and O's...I think the good folks at SixPack already do a great job of providing that.
We've been live on iPhone since March and we're growing very fast. I believe we're growing fast because fans love talking sports all day. Fancred gives them the ability to quickly see what other fans are saying and/or sharing without having to dodge political posts, celebrity news, or other non-sports content. That being said, we are still a very small and young company and are by no means perfect. We're working very hard to continue to improve our product and provide a great experience for our users. If anyone ever has any questions about the app or how to use it, my email is
[email protected] and I would love to hear from you.
Also, we are working to provide Fancred for Android users soon. Being a small company, we have to focus our efforts and prioritize our resources so we decided to build iPhone first. We have nothing against the Android platform, it's simply a matter of resources that forced us to make a difficult choice to wait on it.
Thanks for reading and I hope this response somewhat helps.
Hail State,
Hossein
